Little Busters! Collection One [Blu-ray]

I waited many years for a special anime series like “Little Busters!” to come along. I took to it so easily because its world is amazingly idyllic and its characters so charming, cheerful and supportive. It was all … too good to be believable in the real world. Naturally, I wanted to believe such a place could exist. That characters like Riki, Komari and Kud existed in real life. That a circle of friends could be so supportive during your times of greatest need.And then there’s the supernatural aspect to “Little Busters!” I wasn’t expecting it. I thought this anime, like so many others, would be about a bunch of teens awkwardly tripping their way through high school relationships. Then things started happening that couldn’t be explained in a normal setting. But I just went along with it; I figured, since the characters are so grounded in reality, there must be logical reasons for the things that were happening. Eventually … there are.“Little Busters!” made me smile. It made me laugh. I connected with the characters. When one of them was in trouble, I knew I would jump to his or her defense if I could, just like the rest of the group. “Little Busters!” has a lasting effect. Even after multiple viewings, it continued to draw me in.I loved all the music. The opening and ending songs are upbeat, driving rock themes, and the incidental music is catchy.The voice cast is terrific. I particularly loved Shannon Emerick as Riki; the familiar Brittney Karbowski as Rin and Greg Ayres as Masato; Tia Ballard as Komari; and Tiffany Grant as Kud.“Little Busters!” Collection One contains Episodes 1-13. They mainly cover Komari’s story line and the bulk of Mio’s, which ends in a cliffhanger. Also, there are some one-off episodes.

This is a show that isn’t for everyone and in my opinion to use a baseball analogy “swings for the fences” because the style of the show most notably the humor is risky. You will either think it’s really funny and enjoy it or you will think it is stupid and hate it(either they hit a home run or swing and miss). To me thankfully i found it funny despite the absurdity at times. Characters are all pretty like able with Riki being the dullest. Two favorite are Yuiko and Masato. I’m actually really surprised I like Masato due to him appearing to be a comic relief character but actually he has more to him than getting the brunt of pain and misfortune. He kinda reminds me of myself too. I can’t exactly explain what it is about Yuiko but she just really appeals to me and really seems to have things together. Komari is super adorable and it’s hard not to love her, Rin is awesome, the “psychotic bazooka” is cool(I still don’t understand why I think it’s funny he calls her that), and then Kengo and Kyousuke are good. Mio is ok and Kud is my least favorite. This is definitely more of a watch and relax anime that’s pretty lighthearted at least at this point. Don’t expect much baseball though despite them starting a baseball team.

Not as good as the VN but just as much of the emotional journey.

The 4th anime series from the amazing Key Animation studio. This collection contains the first 13 episodes, and like the previous series it features some of the most loveable and annoying characters in all of anime. Having not seen the second part of the series, I can only comment on this one. And I have to say this series is a lot heavier on the comedy than the romance and drama.

Perfect but should be cheaper can't afford the rest of the series at these prices

it is ok

this is a series that revolves around the romantic comedy genre. the character development is perfect and this series is very uplifting. it helps you feel relaxed and cheerful. at least for me. one of my favorites
