Excellent Tea
This is really good tea.Best way to drink is pour a little boiling water over the leaves and dump water almost immediately. This takes the wax off the leaves. Next, add cold water just to cover leaves then fill rest with boiling water and steep about 3 minutes and strain. This is the cold water method that protects leaves from getting burnt which causes excessive bitterness. Good for 3 solid steepings.

Exceeding my expectation
I have been searching for dark roast oolong tea on Amazon for boba making and couldn't find anything that's great when steeped for prolonged time since that's how I make my boba. I bought something that's a dark roast from a Ranch 99 super market but that's very poor, not only does it taste bitter and unsmooth but also there was no aroma. Similar products at Amazon were found to be too light a roast such as Vahdam or one high mountain tea from Taiwan. Anxi Black Dragon was OK, though but something was always lacking. Now enter this one. As soon as I open the bag and take a whiff I was immediately excited, so I steeped one up with 95°C hot water and boy the Aroma is there although reserved, but the taste is almost impeccable. It's dark yet very, very smooth. Almost sweet and very nuanced, and there is no bitterness at all. Highly recommend since it is exceeding my expectation!

The search continues!
Drinkable per instructions. Musty orOff scent. Not what I expected as if partially fermented. Got to be a better oolong tea! Ok it’s very drinkable by American standards.

Pouchong Oolong is a winner!
After doing some research I purchased this Pouchong Oolong for my mother, and fortunately it was very well received. Over the years my mother has unsuccessfully tried to find the Oolong variety from her childhood. She said this tasted just like what she remembered. It was easily steeped 3-4 times for some very nice, lightly colored, Oolong. Higher temperature water will result in a darker tea. We found no need for sugar or honey as it has a wonderfully sweet aroma, flavor, and mouth feel on its own. It's not quite a raw green tea nor is it a black tea. This one is a winner!

Delicious, nutty taste, earthy best Oolong
This oolong tea is delicious. I’ve been looking for the best oolong for a while after I lost my tea contact in China. This tea is even better. It is earthy, nutty tasting, smooth in it’s mouth feel and roll across the tounge. I brew it in a small Chinese clay teapot and I can get at least four steeps from a teaspoon of tea. Thank you very much, I look forward to trying other varieties as well.

Searching for this tea
Ten Ren Tea used to be this quality, like ten years ago. I thought that I kept getting bad batches, but I even went to their main branch - 1200 miles away. I bought the most expensive quality that Ten Ren had, and I was very disappointed. Now, finally, I found the tea. Please keep making this quality. There are just too much junk out there.

The only true roasted oolong taste I've found
About 50 years ago I used to enjoy the unique deep flavor of loose oolong tea. Currently I could not find anything to match that flavor until I tried this roasted tie guan yin tea. It is authentic and rich and a little goes a long way. I ordered a second packet right away in case it goes out of stock!
