Pogo Kids

My family has bought like 10 of these over the years. They are great and hold up over time. They don't hurt your hands, etc. We love them. They start out very leak proof. But if you overtighten the lid a bunch, eventually the silicone ring gets compressed and they will start to leak. If this happens, then it can still be worked with and reliably leak proof. Just do this: 1. Tighten the lid and see that the outside of the bottle is pretty dry. 2. Give it a shake towards your hand. Ignore the first water droplets, these were probably from filling the bottle. 3. Then continue shaking it towards your arm or hand and if you continue to feel water droplets, then tighten the lid a little more. 4. Shake again. Repeat this process until you no longer feel any water droplets. It takes like 30 seconds to make sure you have a leak proof bottle (once it has been damaged and the ring overcompressed too often.) Or... you know. Don't be a pathological over-tightener and your bottle will stay nice and leak proof without requiring the shake test. Note: to be mean, someone did overtighten my bottle on purpose, extremely, continually. Eventually, this bottle would not become leak proof. But this was from someone damaging it on purpose. Can't blame the bottle for that one. Under normal conditions, this bottle is great. Cleaning tip: after dissassembly, before you put the soft straw nozzle in the dishwasher, grab a clean Q-tip. Get it wet and add a tiny bit of dish soap. Use the soapy Q-tip to clean inside the nozzle and to clean where the straw pokes into that thing. Do it until the Q-tip comes out nice and clean. Also do the clear lid part where it snaps over the nozzle. Occasionally remove the silicone plug there and give it a good wash, too. Then wash the whole thing in the dishwasher This seems to keep anything icky from building up in those hard to clean areas. 'Cuz Nobody wants swampy water. Nobody. Note: We also love the ones with the guzzle pour spout, but these work better when we are driving. Sometimes we switch different colored lids and nozzles onto differently colored bottles to get more colors, because they run out of colors, and I don't want family members taking my bottle.

I lost my camelback water bottle and was searching for a replacement for working out. My requirements were dishwasher safe, a straw, and smaller than 20 ounces (I don't drink that much while working out...) I got the purple because it was the cheapest color. When it arrived, I found two in the box. So right off the bat, I was happy. I threw one n my work bag and started using it there. Surprisingly, I found my self drinking 5 of these throughout the day. The straw insert is flexible, so the straw doesn't get stuck against the bottom of the bottle, which sometimes happened with the camelback, making it harder to drink. So when you sip, you get a good drink out of it. It's not a bite straw, which, for me, wasn't bad, but it often felt like you drank a lot of water, then you'd look and see you had maybe 4 ounces. I was happy there was a clear lid over the straw, so when it's in my bag it won't get dirty. I also used it today for a bike ride (it fits in my bottle holder). Since it's a little stiff to pull the lid off while riding, I left it open after my second drink; it still covered the straw to keep debris out, but still easy to get to the straw. This is better than normal biking bottles, since most of mine now leak when I go to drink and end up with it al over me. I am very happy with this purchase.

So this water bottle is great, except for one thing. I love the design, the plastic seems very strong and durable, it doesn't leak, I like how slim it is, it's easy to clean, but the lid is hard to pop off. My six-year-old spent days being frustrated with it and wishing it had a button. You can't just push up on it to get it open; you have to put pressure down on the top and then lift the latch up and out. It's a little tricky, and I could see how it would frustrate little kids. I see how that makes it harder to knock the lid off, but it is also hard for kids to open. I don't understand why this water bottle doesn't have a button like other kids' water bottles do. I kind of wish I had gone with a different brand now.

Perfect water bottles. I bought 2 of these for my kids to take to school. They don't leak, they are cute & colorful, easy to clean, hold 18oz of drink, locks well so it doesn't come open in their backpacks and it's easy for them to use.

I bought this April 2023, used it all day every day until March 2025. It went with me everywhere. I’d refill it 5+ times a day. All I drink is water and energy drinks so this bottle saw a ton of use. I tried other bottles here and there. Some were too big, others too small, or didn’t have a straw. This one is the Goldilocks of water bottles; just right! Around 18 months of heavy use, the loop handle broke. I tried gluing it, broke again. Then I tried shoving a metal dowel in it, to give it structure and use E8000 glue. It lasted a few weeks. The material is so pliable, that nothing would really stick to it for long. I finally broke down and bought another one. I really didn’t want to my current bottle go. I’m clumsy and I lose things. After being with me for so long, I have sentimental value to this bottle. But I’m getting flak from my partners and I know it won’t last forever, so it’s time to replace it… with an identical new version. P.S. The new bottle has a sticker that “new soft straw”. It’s the exact same straw as the old one, which is not a problem for me.

~~ 2018 ~~ I bought the Pogo 18oz flip straw lid in May Pogo BPA-Free Plastic Water Bottle with Flip Straw, Grey, 18 oz Standard . I really liked the flip straw, so I decided to purchase another one. However, this soft straw version was less expensive so I ended up buying this one instead. I really love both of these water bottles! About a year ago, I purchased a 3-pack of Contigo water bottles, and they leaked all the time! Neither of these have leaked on me once, even when they've tipped over. I will only purchase Pogo water bottles from now on. I do like the soft straw better, because I think it's more comfortable to drink from as opposed to the hard flip straw. I wasn't sure about the size at first, because it seemed so small. However, I decided it's much more convenient to carry around. I would purchase this soft straw again. ~~ 2023 ~~ The POGO brand water bottles do eventually leak. But, I really haven't found a water bottle that stays leak free forever. I still own the soft straw one. The bottom of the straw melted in the dishwasher, but it's still usable. My daughter has inherited this water bottle and she really loves it even though it's several years old.

Bought two 18oz bottles with the straw. Colors are as expected. Arrived just fine. They would have been ideal if they weren’t so hard to open. My 5 year old needed a new water bottle for school. The size is great and it seems easy to clean. Definitely checked off all the boxed in terms of what I was looking for in a water bottle for my kids, but small kids should be able to open it themselves with ease. These definitely require some adult help if they are to be used by kids 5 and younger, unless your kid is really strong. Decided to keep the one I bought for my toddler since he is with me 24/7, and can help him open it on the spot. Also, because of how hard it is to open for a two year old, it will probably save me from having to clean up accidentally spills. So I will take that as a plus. However, I will be returning my daughter’s order in search of a bottle that is easier for her to open. Perhaps with time the lid will lose its tightness and be easier for my son to open it without help. We will see.

Apesar de que lo compre "como nuevo", el producto llegó en perfectas condiciones, sólo no traía algún empaque original y lo mejor es que su precio fue de la mitad. El producto es perfecto, se tapa para evitar que le caiga polvo, sólo se sale agua si lo agitas mucho. El chupón es muy suave y el popote llega hasta el fondo, no cuesta nada succionar el líquido y hemos visto que mi hija toma más agua con esta botella, compraremos otro de tamaño más grande. Muy recomendado.

Resistente e bem construída

Lo compré por la boquilla de silicon,aunque sí se puede morder la boquilla por alguna razón mi hija no lo hace en comparación con otros termos que traen popote o son de boquilla más dura en donde incluso ha dejado marcado sus dientes. Facilita el que mi niña vaya tomando agua cuando el coche está en movimiento, no es anti derrames pero sí me ha ayudado bastante y algo que también me gustó fue el tamaño de 18 ok porque no es muy pesada para ella y es muy buena cantidad para saciar su sed.
