Black Butler - Season 3 Collectors Edition BD [Blu-ray]

Rather than discuss the show, I want to discuss the physical product. Naturally I think the show is wonderful or else I wouldn't have paid almost $50 for it. This is the blu-ray/DVD combo pack of Black Butler: Book of Circus. It comes with a total of four disks, two DVDs and two blu-ray. The actual casing isn't anything special, but it does look nice. Unfortunately, there are not a ton of extras included with this season. There are a couple of episode commentaries and some trailers, but nothing else. The price is a expensive for such a short season, but it is typical for anime. Overall, I'd say it's worth it to buy the season if you're a Black Butler fan. You won't get a plethora of extras, but the dub is well done and it makes a nice addition to any anime collection.

Excellent adaptation of the manga - this season seems to follow the books a little more closely than Season 2. Voice acting in the English translation is excellent - it's hard to believe the actors are all American.If your kids are watching this, you may want to skip the extras. The two main actors appear in the commentary, and they look nothing like their cartoon characters. You may have some very disappointed preteen girls when they find out that Ciel is actually played by a voluptuous young actress, and not a cute 13-year-old boy.Story gets very dark this season...recommend for ages 12 and up

Even though there aren't many episodes, I really enjoyed Season 3. It is definitely my favorite out of the three Black Butlers. The animation, voice actors, and story are everything I had hoped for and more! I like that this story is a little darker than the previous seasons and I think it does an awesome job of tapping into the internal battle that Ciel faces. I highly recommend purchasing this. It was worth every penny! The product it self arrived in excellent condition. Quick shipping too!

Great anime short series for any anime fan of Black Butler or Death God, Demon, Dark genera. I will let you know that there is no Japanese with English subtitles available. I watched this OVA series in English and was impressed with it. The visual quality was really good as well. Storyline was good and on point and it was tied into main story line as well. I want more Black Butler anime they never finished the anime the manga is way farther along I hear.

This anime is my favorite one and I was excited when I found season 3 here. Although this season cost more than the others at the time I purchased it, I would have bought it anyways, because I love this program.Although if there are people searching the comments to find out about the type of show this is - I think most would agree that it's definitely not for kids (using your own discretion to make the age determination, of course). It's very dark and is full of mature themes, and I think most would not want their young kids watching this.

This looks amazing on blu ray. The packaging was not dented and it came in very good condition. The shipping was so fast I didn't expect to be watching it only a few days after I ordered. The episodes are so entertaining it was beyond worth it for the price. There are not very many episodes though so it goes by very fast unfortunately, but each episode is exciting and leaves you wanting more. I recommend watching season one episodes 1-15 and then skipping right to this. It just makes so much more sense this way. This is most seriously the best season of Kuroshitsuji I have ever seen. I can watch this over and over.

This was my favorite installment in the Black Butler series. It had more action and intrigue than any other Black Butler segment so far. With the way they've been doing it I don't think Black Butler has anywhere to go buy up. If you could only afford to buy one season/segment of Black Butler, it should be this one. You won't be disappointed!-Sha

It had me hooked by the first episode, and I found myself re-watching the season right after I had finished it. The animation is better than season 1 and 2, it's more fluid and natural in the movements of the characters. The story line is more gripping, and the humour and dialogue is on point. The music fits it perfectly.This is the season I suggest watching first because it is superior, in my opinion, to it's predecessors. The first season I would only suggest watching as it has more details about certain events that are briefly mentioned in this season. The second season *spoiler alert kind of?* doesn't follow the manga at all, but is rather, for lack of better wording, fanfiction-esque (an alternate universe version at that--meaning the writers apparently weren't happy with how the story went in the manga and decided to write an alternate ending). This season follows the manga beautifully and I was so captivated by the animation and the bright colours. It left me with an ache in my heart, as well.This is, by far, the best of Black Butler I've seen (I've not seen Black Butler: Book of Murder).It's definitely worth the money and time (especially if you're a fan of the first season)!

As you would expect from this universe great animation, storyline and voice characters. Sebastian ad Ciel are back and trying to out think and out game the other. Again the humour is just right and hilarious.I tried to buy the DVD Book of Atlantic and Book of Murders but the prices for a single DVD are just ridiculous from £30 to £82 and these are not even in English and according the previous review there is no guarantee that they will work on my DVD.Makers of this series please can you tell me where I can buy an English Dub region 2 of the Book of Atlantic and Book of Murders.

Arrived very quick. Anyone wanting to know... it is dubbed, even though it doesn't state it on the DVD. Been waiting for this to be released for a while. So glad to finally have it.

Glad they stuck more to the manga for this ( not really season three if you're a purist), Funimation well done but could we in the UK have the same release date as in the US ?The demon in the tailcoat has fans over this side too !The Queens watchdog joins the circus by her order in search of kidnapped children,however what is the sinister scenario behind the grease paint and what and how is it linked to Ciel's own painful past?

I was not sure what to expect with this show (given the ending of both season 1 and 2) and was a little taken with the semi concurrent timeline used and the re-appearance of some familiar faces from season 1. it also completes a story arc that was quite pivotal yet seemed to fall through the cracks of season 1. A fitting story for the franchise if at times a little long winded

Packaging is absolutely gorgeous.- Video and subtitle quality is good.Negatives- When watching in Japanese, subtitles can't be turned off (This makes no sense to me. Honestly just stop this Anime Ltd, please)- When watching in English subtitles can't be turned on (No accomodation for the hard of hearing)- Error in the booklet on page 14.Mine also arrived broken...
