Sevylor KC Compact 215 Convertible Paddle

I've used a couple of these over the summer with my new 2+1 child canoe (Sevylor Adventure plus) on Windermere and Coniston (take your kids to Peel Island, brilliant!). The paddles are perfect. They easily fit into the car when separated; I can use one as a double ended paddle when in the canoe on my own, or with 2 children at the front, while they use the other (separated, with handles) as a single paddle each; If I take one child out, we can both have a double or single paddle. So, extremely versatile, well made, fit together & detach perfectly - I can't recommend them more highly.

A good product at a good price (£31.96) from Amazon delivered when they said they would. It's labeled as manufactured by NNGBO BRAVO and imported by Scoprega according to the bag. It does look the same as all the other pictures of the "Sevylor" paddle online though. Packaging was only a thick plastic bag but it's fairly robust and was not damaged. The cups to prevent water trickling down the paddle are a flexible plastic but look ok. They are reasonably light at a total weight is 1.825 ± 0.005 kg for all the parts. They seem to have internal bungs in the main paddle section which may stop them sinking. Testing is planned for our summer holiday!

Perfect for what I wanted, which was two paddles to propel a wooden boat rowing boat in canal locks. In this case the one-star reviews decided me on buying this item! As solo paddles they are sturdy and have longish handles with a grip on the end, just what I was after. They survived being stepped on repeatedly in the bottom of the boat with a few scuff marks and seem like they'll give years of service.

Could do with being longer for use as Kayak paddles with a Sevylor Adventure, but work well as Canadian style paddles. I've marked them as three stars because after a couple of times out mine are full of water which I can't drain out, I can hear it sloshing around inside them and there doesn't seem to be any way to drain them.

Good budget paddles. Bought these to replace a previous pair. My advice would be to separate each paddle into two parts and store them like that until you need them again. Otherwise they can cease up and you might not pull them apart, which is why I have new ones.

Wonderful to have the versatility of a single paddle or two individual ones and thus allowed flexibility in whether we went out in our inflatable canoe individually or as a pair.Easy to change from one arrangement to the other and the sections fitted together well.The weight seemed about right, not too heavy or light.Didn't get scratched in the week of use in the tidal Cornwall estuary.Highly recommended.

Light, easy to pack, work as effectively as any other oar - depending on the user I think. Being hollow they sometimes end up with water in them which has to be emptied.

Bought an inflatable canoe sometime ago and original paddles rubbish. Saw these and thought the flexible layout either kayak paddle or individual canoe paddles would suit many uses when by myself or messing around with the kids. They appear to be well constructed and secure together well with push pin style locks. Look good and cant wait to try them out.
