C&S Wild Bird High Energy Suet Treat 56 Ounces, 6 Pack

This is great to attract wild birds and helps them make it through the winter while it’s snowing. The squirrels love it too unfortunately. We have Stellar Jays, doves, robins, nuthatches and many other birds I can’t name. This size is very economical compared to what the hardware stores charge. This is the best I have found. This is the large size suet cake and lasts about a week in our case.

Backyards birds need to eat. We love watching our wildlife birds having fun eating this jumbo suet. It's concentrated in one suet cage which is hung on our rhododendron bush. We get to watch the the exchanges of different birds congregating to it everyday. The shipment is fresh, not dried out.

We use this suet year round and the woodpeckers, nuthatches, bluebirds and others love it. Well, we assume they love it as they haven't complained. The pileated, red-bellied, hairy, and downy woodpeckers parents have been chewing through a block a week lately and now we have the fledglings coming in. We have our cake 20 feet up a tree on a haul rope. This way we can see it out the living room and kitchen windows.

I use to buy this suet at our local hardware store and the price kept going up to the point that it was unreasonable. We go through lots of suet for the birds at our house. I discovered that we could get the exact same high quality suet for a much lower price on Amazon. Plus…it is delivered so quickly! No hungry birds!!

I've got no problem with the suet blocks. I bought a sixpack of them and two suet block cages.But ... these blocks are huge. Each one of the blocks of suet is big enough to fill four of the standard size suet block cages. I'm going to have to freeze them and then run them through my bandsaw to to make them fit.The upside is that they'll probably get my bandsaw well-lubed.Unless your home is home to 1000 song birds, I can't imagine why you'd need this much suet.Anyway, I can't complain, but I wondered what came in the Amazon box weighing 22 lbs.

The local birds like it and it is more convenient to use than the small suet cakes.

We hang about 5 and they are gone in less than a week.We are in Southwest Michigan.On Lake michigan. we get Robins, Cardinals, Blue Jays, Woodpeckers, and more.
