The USB port in my Hyundai that connects to my wireless android auto dongle remains on even when I turn my car off. This switch has made it easier to tuck the dongle away and keep it connected to the car. The switch is the perfect workaround for this problem.

Works great. It’s nice not having to unplug the USB in order to disconnect.

Connectivity is great. Data Transfer, is perfect. This makes my PC flexible! for my audio. Easy to use, and makes other USB items easier to use! it is durable, I use it allot it goes with me back and forth between addresses. Final Thoughts; I don't have to keep swapping unplugging and replugging, my speakers and headphones, also had a problem with a dongle that I had to unplug and replug in on my Xbox for the Xim adapter now I don't have to keep re-plugging and unplugging which has cost damage to my Xim dongle!! I love this power switch. So convenient for way more uses than I originally realized. Obviously it is compatible with and connects to anything that is powered by USB: lights, computer accessories, chargers and more. In the past I've struggled to find a switch like this that also passes data. This allows me to use it with my bus-powered USB audio interface that has no on/off switch. Now instead of having to unplug that cable every single time, it's as easy as flipping a switch. It functions great for this purpose and it's something it's hard to believe I ever lived without. Money well spent, I will be grabbing more of these for sure for other things around my house that I'm realizing would be better with a switch.

I would like to give TEN stars to whoever it was that thought to even make this. And I'm just going to say right now thata I want several more of these. Most of my USB receptacles are not that accessible. They're usually hiding among a pile of wires that I'm trying to keep out of sight. It always seems to make for awkward and frustrating challenges when I have something that needs to be plugged in, and then unplugged when I'm done using it. I have a couple of tiny little game-themed Christmas trees that I like to put out every year. BUT, they need to be plugged into a USB-A slot. There's no on/off switch, so it's either plugged in, or not. In the past I have left this plugged in for the whole month of December because I was too lazy to be annoyed with having to deal with unplugging it. I will be ready for next Christmas with a few of these in my possession. I have a little lamp and a little fan that needs this, too. This looks like a quality item that will be durable. The connectors and switch are solid and sturdy. The cord length is short enough that it is not going to add to my tangle of wires. And, the wires are substantially thick. This item functions exactly as it's supposed to. It connects the USB device to power and allows me to switch it on and off perfectly. Simple and just what I wanted/needed. It's definitely a "shut up and take my money" item for me and I consider it a good value. Recommended!

I have a little USB-powered fan with a long cable, and I wanted a closer toggle for turning it on and off. This little power switch was exactly what I needed. It's the perfect length for sitting in between my fan's USB cable and my PC's port. The switch is firm and toggles smoothly, and the USB ports are appropriately tight for secure connections. Couldn't be easier to use!

I ordered this switch to toggle on and off an external drive that I keep connected to one of my Decos that I have in my guest room. This provides a guest with the ability to use an isolated place for storage if they need it, without viewing my network shares. The switch allows me to toggle off the drive so it will not spin unnecessarily when no one is visiting. Anyway, the cable and switch are heavy gauge and quite thick, more so than I expected. This is not a distractor as it is likely that this switch/cable will last many years and take quite a bit of abuse. Before I hooked this up to my guest room Deco, I tested it with various LED lights, external SSD and some flash drives. The data transfer rate was solid and steady and was not affected by using this switch inline. I also tested this switch though an external USB hub, as well as a docking station and the voltage/current drop was not significant enough to affect the operation of those devices. Since I have hooked this up as I intended to use it, I have thought of several other applications where one of these can be used around the house. I would, and am likely will order this item again for other applications.

I wasn't aware that individual switches such as this that also pass data at USB 3.0 speeds existed! Glad to come across this as I have several USB 3.0 devices that I don't want connected and on at the same time. Or for identical devices that work fine when several are connected. But for certain functions like updating firmware, it doesn’t work properly if two or more identical devices are connected at the same time. Or with several large USB hard drives where I want to keep them powered off when not in use and be able to flip a switch to connect it without having to remove the USB cable from the hub. They do have power supplies, but when USB is disconnected, they shut down completely. Rather than plugging and unplugging, with unnecessary wear on the USB plug and USB ports. Now I can flip a switch to connect/disconnect. The cable has a firm feeling switch, doesn't feel cheap. And functions as expected. Full disconnect when off, and power and USB 3.0 speeds when the switch is on. The short cable is a good thing with a switch like this, and they are inexpensive. Will be getting more of these switches for sure!
