I’ve use these in ear monitors 2-3 times a week for live gigs for about 2 months.I recently got into the world of clicks and In Ear Monitors (IEM) are a must there. So, after getting a $20 set just to get my toes wet, I decided to upgrade. I knew I couldn’t afford the $3k+ IEM I’ve sampled in my experience, but I also knew the sound quality with my entry set was terrible.I needed a good middle of the road set of IEM’s. I’m on a budget, so I began my search for a solid budget friendly set of in ears. KZ has long been known for quality budget, entry level IEM’s, but I hadn’t seen these AS10’s before.As their (current) flagship product, I was impressed from the first images and specs I saw. After learning it boats FIVE Balanced Armature (BA) speakers, I knew I had to try it. Leaving the ‘how it works’ conversation to others, just think of a BA speaker as one programmed to have high quality sound for a certain frequency of sound, vs a Dynamic Driver (traditional speaker) playing all frequency’s pretty good. With 5 BA speakers, you can pretty well cover the entire human hearing range. Having a different speaker to isolate frequencies in the low-med-high ranges, vs forcing one speaker to play them all, makes for a much better overall sound experience. All this to say that this is a feature that you don’t always even find in ‘high end’ in ear monitors. This high end feature at a budget friendly price makes owning a set of quality hardware that much easier for the guy who wants to have good sound and not brake the bank.I’ve only had them for about 2 months so I cannot completely attest to their durability at this time, but I have no reason to doubt that this piece of my equipment will be there for me when I need it for some time to come.I strongly suggest this if you are looking for a good deal on a quality set of IEM’s. I would, however, recommend getting a set of foam tips. This minor upgrade can make any IEM somewhat better. By making a proper seal in the ear canal not only do you gain the highest quality listening experience for the speakers you are using, but you also protect your ear by not only allowing bleed in from outside sound, but also making it so you don’t have to turn your IEM’s anywhere near as loud overall. I usually keep my incoming signal at between 40-50% max volume.Only reason I didn’t give 5 starts for comfort is I have weird shaped ears. They fit inside well enough, but don’t hang comfortably on the outer ear.Nothing but love for all who read this comment.God bless.

Holy crap these are good! I bought some behringers 2 1/2 years ago that were more expensive and these are infinitely better! Fit, separation of frequency, bass—everything is way more present. I play bass and sing and these are fantastic for that application. I just wasn't happy with the whole in ear monitor thing and then I borrowed a bandmates shure IEMs and realized how much mine sucked. These are at least just as good as the shure for considerably less price. Seems like good quality monitors have come waaay down in price.

I had been looking at these for so long. The 5 BA interested me. I’m a artist I love music. A lot of the reviews complain about them being flat.... try TRUE!! Real music lovers will appreciate these more than anyone. I record my own and being able to hear things for what it really is, Winner!!!! I mean I use these as ear buds as well and songs I listened to thousands of times and know like the back of my hand all sound like I’m hearing them for the first time. If you want to truley be immersed in another dimension of crispy tones that are unbelievably clear!? Get these. These In ears will let you hear everything fromleft right pans, each distinct layer, most Faded way back instraments listen to me! get these. I even heard phrases that were always unclear for the first time. It’s almost like the sounds are being mixed in your head.The cord is awesome quality it is braided and looks really nice. I’m not sure of the standard cable because I got the one with the mic.The noise canceling is A1!! Like a can’t hear NOOOTHING outside of what I’m listing too. You almost are worried someone could break into your house and you wouldn’t hear a thing. I even used these under my ear muffs at the gun range for added ear protection.The bass is smooth as hell. I love bass but I like controlled bass. They are not going to rumble the ear buds but trust me the bass is very strong, none distorted and deeply satisfying. Remember quality and detail is hear....get it lolThey fit in your ear are super comfy. I can lay on my pillow and forget I have them in. They are flush they don’t stick out of your ears so they are super low profile.There is a mesh in the inside I had to get a flash light I was worried about dust or ear wax maybe get in there but it safely sealedI chose these because I needed to premium pair or do it all ear buds and I found them.THE NIT PICKSOk so I will nit pick about the fact there is no carrying case. They come in a really fancy box which is exciting because you know you got the real deal and music will never be the same lol but I’d prefer a case. These are super nice and it’s hard to want to bring them with me for the fear of damaging them.2ndly Foam ear tipsSo you can get away with the silicone ear tips BUTTT... your ears will begin to hurt. they get uncomfortable after time. Go ahead and save yourself the agony of a 2nd shipment wait time and just order a set of Foam ear tips so you can put these in and fall in love3rd
