Garden Bloom 729BL Wood Potting Bench, Brown

I love this bench! I have a breezeway between my garage and my house that I have turned in to my "garden room" that this bench fits in perfectly. The area is completely covered so the bench will not be in direct contact with sunlight or rain, but it is still outdoors. I did use a spray on wood sealant because I want it to last a long time. I do use it for gardening (potting small houseplants - nothing major), but I also use it to display plants and other fun garden décor. It is real wood, but it is fairly lightweight. If you're doing a lot of gardening and it is exposed to the elements 24/7, it may not last as long or be as sturdy for you. My husband put it together on his own in about an hour or so. No issues assembling it that he mentioned. I love the look that it gives my little "garden room". Just the finishing touch I needed! I would recommend it and I would buy it again!

Unfortunately, the Potting Bench came with the counter top part already having 2 big cracks in the wood. My husband made it work and we will have to fix this more but it really is not good quality at all. Very thin flimsy wood material. There are no good instructions on how to put this together. Most people will struggle putting this together. You will need tools. My husband is a builder and is very handy but he even got frustrated with it. This is supposed to be dark brown but the paint/stain is black. We really needed this item for our Camp and are unfortunately disappointed. We feel that we paid to much for the low quality of this Potting Bench. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Is very flimsy. Some of the pre drilled holes were sloppy. We were unable to assemble this properly. The wood kept splitting and would splinter. Looks awful. Waste of $119.00 . They should issue a refund to us. JUNKY!

Nice looking and pretty easy to assemble although the directions could be better. The wood is light which helped me get it upstairs since it sits on a roof deck. But it split easily when installing some screws. Also, as in others reviews, my plastic potting basin was broken. I added a bottle of gorilla glue to the installation process. Hopefully it holds up. I live in Southern California so it won’t be subjected to much rain.

The potting bench arrived with a damaged top. Unfortunately, I didn't realize it, until I started putting it together. It was obviously shipped damaged, as there was no damage to the box. The damage was fairly significant; a large crack through the right corner, nail cracks in the wood, the edge was damaged and raw. It wasn't worth the hassle of dismantling it and getting it back in the box. As to the bench itself, It doesn't look bad, I like the color. It won't last long outdoors, as it's very flimsy, and made from soft wood. I wouldn't purchase it again...

I would not purchase this item again. We bought it as a mud kitchen for our children so I knew ahead of time it was going to get well loved during backyard play time. But after putting it together, I don't know if it will even survive one go around.My husband (who is very meticulous when assembling things...especially for our kids) got so frustrated with this piece. The wood is dryer than dry (one could call it kindling) and splinters and cracks so very easily. The pieces are thin and not pre-drilled. Just bumping the corner accidentally caused the corner wood to chip off. It is not a hard piece to assemble, but its directions are very reminiscent of Ikea picture directions so that could be confusing and frustrating for some.Bottom line...keep looking and pass over this item...not worth it at all!

I love the darker color and there is plenty of storage. The plastic tray came broken in 3 different places, but I was able to superglue the pieces together.

i ususally do not like to write a negative review, however this product is cheaply made, falls apart and came with pieces that fell part very fast. spend a bit more money and get a stronger product.
