NYSTCE Multi Subject 002: CST Multi-Subject 002

This book was loaded with information in every subject area on the NYSTCE. One does not know what exactly will be on the test due to thousands of questions that could potentially be asked, however this book loads you with lots of background information. Even if the question wasn't addressed in here specifically, you seem to have had enough practice with similar ideas that you feel much better prepared to tackle the test. I just took the test and feel although much of it could be common sense "best answers" you could really benefit from using this book for front loading yourself with lots of information in the various subject areas. Very glad I bought it and studied with it. Well worth the price.

This will be my first review ever written.I am marking this at 1 start, and wish I could go lower. I have never spent money on something that was more useless than this book. The multi-subject test, which I just took, bears ZERO relation to this book. Sincerely, do yourself an enormous favor and spend your money on something else.In terms of the test itself, get to know the recommendations of the national reading panel, and for math I would take a look through a middle school or high school math textbook and spend some time making sure you could do most of the problems. The math section is no joke, and many of my fellow grad students in education are reporting having great difficulty here. I wish I had advice for the final section on the arts and sciences, but it is hard to describe how to prepare for this.But I can tell you without a shred of doubt: I read the arts/science section of this book and found it helped me on literally 0 questions when I took the exam.

This book contains a great deal of content but it is wrought with grammatical errors and spelling mistakes. The practice problems are selectively drawn from the content covered in the book, but I did not find them representative of the problems I faced on this test and it did not mention the essay even once. In all honesty, this book created much more test anxiety for me than it relieved. I found Bridget Gubernatis' Deconstructing the NYSTCE to be a lifesaver.

The questions on the online exams are not the same format. I took their test and finished in an hour. When I actually took the real one, it took the full four hours. No essay prep included as well. Not happy.

This book does not reflect the actual nystce multi-subject test. Some of the questions appear twice. I do not recommend this book unless you would like to have a sense of being prepared by doing sample practice exam.

Highly recommended for the practice of NYSTCE. I passed it!! Let others use book as well and they also succeeded! Book was in exact condition it said it was, brand new in package!

I purchased book for my daughter to review for her test. She used it to review and passed the test with no problem :)

This book allows no access to the online content as advertised even after software updates, adobe/flash player downloads, and registration of product. I do no recommend this product.
