Not good for cooking/food prep
I was given this scale as a gift. I I didn't realize that the 600g limit would be a big deal and didn't even pay attention at the time but I use my scale for food prep and it is such a pain! I have to weight things in batches and there are certain containers (like my mixing bowl) that I can't even put on the scale without receiving an error message. The buttons were temperamental at first but I think I am getting used to them so no huge complaints there, but at first it was such a hassle! I gave 4 stars because the description does say it is for lab use rather that kitchen use and it is nice that it stays on as long as it is plugged in.

Solid and Dependable
In our Geotechnical Laboratory we hook these up to software that automatically takes the weights and puts them in the database. They have a USB data transfer module and cable that allow this direct communication. A real time saver. We used to have to read the numbers and write the data down on paper to be later typed into the database.
