... so I bought this one after reading the many good reviews. It is easy to use
I had never used a facial steamer before so I bought this one after reading the many good reviews. It is easy to use, all you have to do is slide up the back compartment and fill the clear container with distilled water, then screw that closed and slide the compartment back down. Then you hit the power button and it'll start. The steam cycle depends on how much water you put into it and the max is 15 min. I have used the steamer twice and there is only one con I have had with it, which is towards the middle of the cycle, hot water droplets start to form on the plastic hole where the steam is coming out, and a few times a small droplet would hit me in the face even when I was a safe distance away from the steamer (like almost a foot), and it hurts a tiny bit, and I imagine it would suck getting one in your eye. If it wasn't for that I'd probably give this a 5 star review.

it's great, you don't have to hunch over like most ...
it's great, you don't have to hunch over like most of the other steamers. I just set on table and steam away...The only thing is once in a while it spurts out hot droplets of water, you have to make sure its a good distance away. the droplets don't hurt to much, just enough for me to feel a little discomfort. I have recommended this to my mother..very pleased with my results so far, its been about 5 days of use..will update if anything changes

Best facial steamer I have ever used.
I could not be more happy with this facial steamer. I studied several different brands and styles and feel I got the best one here. I am going to list some pros and cons that I found.Pros * Automatically shuts off after 15 minutes if you don't turn it off. * No waiting. Once you turn it on, the steam starts coming out within 1 minute. * Really opens pores up to make products work better. * Nice design that doesn't look tacky if you want to leave it on your countertop. * Easy to operate (touch button once to turn on nano steam, second touch turns red for regular and third touch is no light and means it is off). * This is the only steamer I found with the swivel head to get it to the right angle. * Works great for facial oil washes. * Easy to add water (just pull up the back and use the pour cup that comes with it and add your distilled water before sliding it back in).Cons * None, except for the fact it is highly recommended that you use distilled water but that is not a big deal ~$1 per gallon.OverallI highly recommend this facial steamer. You do not need a towel over your head for this to work. My last facial steamer I bought in the 90's and although it still works, this one is far better. You need to leave it on a flat table and not hold it because that makes the steam come out less. It needs to be level to work properly so I would not recommend holding it. I put mine on the bathroom counter and just get on my knees and it is a perfect height.

Temperamental
The machine is very temperamental in my opinion. I use it for the allotted 15 minutes and then it shuts off. If it has more water left or I add additional water, I can't start it over. It won't allow me to use it right after one session. I've unplugged and pressed the button multiples times. I use it to bring moisture into the air, my face, and eyes so I don't need the product regulating me. I understand if you recommend 15 minutes, but I'll chose how long I have a session. I understand my own needs.

Nice little steamer
Have used it for some months and decided to post my review when absolutely sure I liked it. I use it every other week and every week in the winter. Keeps the skin moisturized and flowing with circulation. Always remember to wash face with cold water to close pores. I like it very much, however, it spurts hot drops into the face every so often which hurts and could be dangerous. I'd recommend keeping eyes closed until steamer shuts off and maintaining the recomended distance from the spout. Wrap a towel around the neck as well.

Better than expected!
Just received this today. Love the slick design of this thing. It's very simple to operate. Press once, the button turns blue, you get a steady stream of steam. Press again, the button turns red and you get more fine mist of steam. The steam is warm but not overly hot. Just feel like what they use at the spa. Nozzle can be adjusted up and down in 3 positions. Brand new machine comes with a sticker right below the nozzle to remind you keep a 25cm distance so you don't get water splash on your face (I have not noticed water splash on first use). Over all this is something I feel like I should pay more for (now please don't raise the price just because I said that). Loving it. I bought this facial steamer with the intention of using it for in home facial, but I'm suffering from seasonal allergies with major congestion and cough, I found that the constant hot steam really help bringing me relief. I will update in about two to four weeks. If I still like it as much I plan to buy more as gifts.

Cheap materials; broke after a few uses!
I really liked this facial steamer, but after I used it 3 or 4 times, a crack appeared in the plastic insert that holds water. I tried to tape up the crack to prevent leaking, but the insert will not fit into the steamer any more, even though the tape is very thin! I am very disappointed, because I had wanted to continue using the steamer. It seems like the device was cheaply made if it won't last more than a few uses.

The steamer works great. At first it had that real plastic smell
The steamer works great. At first it had that real plastic smell, but after a few uses its fine.Only real con is that it doesn't really work unless you have it sitting on a flat hard surface or hold the little thing in on the bottom. I mean I'm sure it's for safety but I like to sit in my bed and use it while watching tv.
