GILA FS600 Window Film Complete Application Tool Kit

Sorry I couldn't take a picture before reviewing it. It works great made the window tint stick to the glass easy and no bubbles left on it. No spot marks or anything.

The Gila FS600 Window Film kit arrived quickly and in great condition, along with the window film I ordered to go with it. The spray worked very well with the film and the knife cut nicely until I had to start snapping off the ends to get to a sharp edge again. The new edge caught the film a bit on the corners, so I got around that by cutting from the middle of a window edge and sliding it outwards towards the corner, then going the opposite direction on the other half of the edge. The squeegee worked perfectly, even on my French door windows. Doing all of those took patience and a cold beverage. I ordered the 15 foot roll and the spray solution was plenty to complete a set of windows using nearly the whole role (except for the first piece which fell on my head and into my hair, causing me to make a run, hair sticking up all over, to the package store for some liquid patience. Preparation for an area to cut and move about freely, a second pair of hands, and reading the directions, that come with the film, before you start the project, are essential to success.

My true rating would be more like 3.5 stars. The solution worked well for the glass film I purchased. I used it even though the film said you could use water. This solution is mostly water with a couple chemicals thrown it. Not really sure if those chemicals were needed or not. The squeegee worked perfect for the six inch wide x 63 inch long side windows I was covering. The rubberized side of the squeegee is 6 1/2" long and the hard side, which I used most is 5". The utility knife worked perfectly for the project. Lint free cloth is more of a thick paper towel than a cloth. I didn't use it. My real disappointment with the product is when I opened the plastic packaging and the cap on the bottle was cracked. Not much has spilled out, although everything was damp, but because the top was broken, it would not spray. Luckily I had an extra spray bottle to pour it into. If I didn't have the other bottle, the product wouldn't have worked for me and I most likely would have been stuck with it because it would be too much of a hassle to send back.

I mainly bought this for the liquid application spray and the squeegee. I have my own razor blades already, but I found this one very easy to use sand the blade extending came in handy when cutting the tint. The squeegee is very useful and nice that it has different sides to help with putting on the tint. The cloth is small and I ended up just using paper towels after using it for a bit. This kit is a great price and is helpful for beginners to tinting windows. I didn't know where to begin and was a good start, I would recommend after tinting some of my car windows to take your time and make sure all bubbles are smoothed out.

The film applicator spray is extremely necessary in installing tint and this bottle is just about enough to do a smaller sedan as long as you kind of know what you're doing and do not have to redo any windows. The paper-towel-ish cloth works well and doesn't seem to leave any fibers when you clean your window which is pretty important. My favorite part of this kit is the tool that comes with it! It is perfect for the job whether you are squeegeeing the film or using it to pry back the rubber on your window to tuck the film. This is by far one of the best tools out there and I would recommend this kit just for the tool! The worst part of this kit has to be the knife. The knife has the ability to spread butter and thats about it. It is essentially a breakaway utility knife but it was doing an awful job. I would have to break off two every window. And even then some times instead of gliding through the film, it would start to rip it! Overall I would recommend the kit however I would suggest trying to buy a better quality knife for cutting the film.

So glad I got this kit because it really helped to finish the project I had....three 5' x 3' windows in the living room. Comes with the solution, a knife, a lint-less cloth, and a small squeegee. I used a large hand-held rubber squeegee at first to ensure the whole tint stuck to the window, but it wouldn't take out most of the solution bubbles because the rubber on the squeegee was just too soft. The squeegee in this kit has a rubber edge, but is real stiff such that it will get rid of all the solution bubbles with the pushing of your hands, and the knife has the right thickness on its edges to run down the sides of the windows while cutting the film perfectly straight, and you'll have more than enough solution to spray on.....in my opinion, everything in this kit is exactly what you need!!

It worked great for me! Like a lot of other people notes, the razor blade is very flimsy, but I have a million of those laying around anyways, I just got it for the solution and the squeegee. The solution worked fine, did what it was supposed to, it comes with a full size bottle and I didn't even use half for the whole car so there is plenty left over although I don't know what else it could be used for.... The squeegee was nice, just what I needed. I used this one along with one of the small card sized ones and it was a good combo. I liked this one for the bigger area and my first run on the edges, then I used the other one to fine tune the edges because I just felt that one I could push harder for a tighter application. I just wish it came with more towels, or a bigger one because even after just my rear two windows, which it's a coupe so they are tiny, my rag was dirty and too wet to do any more. I ended up just taking it inside and rinsing it off a bit then blow drying it, and hey it worked!

Second time buying this product because it worked so good the first time. Included utility knife not so good. Overall this product is a must have for window tint applications.

Don’t waste your money on this as just regular soapy water and a sharp knife and a soft plastic spreader from the dollar store will do just as good a job
