Very good item that can be easily moulded around the shoulder and arm Interestingly the large part fits nicely round my lower thigh and the arm part round just below my knee which means I can use this for my knee pain equally well. Freezes quickly and remains frozen/cold sufficiently long. Good robust material and fastenings that show no sign of deterioration after multiple uses. Easily used by different sized people in terms of height, broadness of shoulder and whether male or female

As others said, it is a bit of struggle to put it on me by myself when I have a bad shoulder as this is too long for the straps for xS shoulders . I had my first magic gel of tiny one which works for every areas of my body including wrest and waste and a part of shoulder . But this one requires shorter straps for smaller bodies. I still can use it - the tip is to make a loop first and squeeze your body in - adjusting the strap is a bit harder as my shoulders are injured. But the ice pack is so effective to remove pains and a great help with my injuries. I now have 3 magic gels in my freezer ( no more space for ice creams) and ready to serve me for a rescue. These things work better than ibprofen or paracetamol for my opinion surprisingly. I have gels but again the ice pack is the best solution so far . Without pains , I can move my shoulders to do anything necessary for home. This ice pack is a bit heavy too as large cover of shoulder area but just 20 mins . Relax .

Bought this shoulder ice pack to help with a torn rotator cuff. First of all - speedy delivery. Although I find ice packs extremely uncomfortable it was a necessity. Initially the pack froze rock solid and was uncomfortable, however my freezer is pretty fierce so I reduced the freezing time down to 1 hr 45 mins - perfect. Although freezing cold the gel pockets were malleable and wrapped around my shoulder with comfort. Plus, as a pain killer it worked. No way of judging if it helped with the inflammation, but am assuming it does Also emailed their customer service dept who were extremely helpful. Nice personal interaction. Would recommend both the product and company. Haven’t tried it as a heat pack yet as the tear is quite new so cold is needed at the mo.

Seems good quality and durable with with plenty of gel to cool the whole shoulder. Straps work well, fitting around the arm and shoulder as well as you could expect.

Whilst the Gel might be Magic, the strapping solution is just typical. In theory, it's a great idea. If you can sit/stand or keep still long enough to let the Gel work it's Magic, then it's a great idea, but in practice, especially with body movement, these things rarely stay in place for any length of time - and this one is no different. The velcro works as it's suppose to, but the only way to keep it in place if you are going to be moving about, is to use additional ties, or tie it tight enough so that it has a similar effect as tying an elastic band around the Gel. Works well but it’s so cold that you must protect your skin with a thin T shirt or something similar to prevent burning.

At first it seemed ok, but the pack doesn't come with a huge amount of gel to start with and over time seems to break down and flattens out. Once the gel starts to break down, it doesn’t hold cold or heat properly and ends up being pretty useless. Personally I would look for a better product with more gel to start with and one which hopefully lasts longer.

So the quality of the materials for the strap and ice pack are great, but the design lets them down. On the ice pack itself, I do not find it flexible once frozen as described, which is fairly common with ice packs. It is still really stiff, which when trying to mold to a joint such as a shoulder, its more difficult. With the strap itself, two things let it down. First, when using it for your left shoulder, the main strap will end up on your back, which makes it very tough to connect up. The second is that the ice pack is a very tight fit, which means that its hard to get it into the pouch and when you do a little bit of the ice pack remains outside the pouch which I found rubbing against my neck. The box does say two ice packs, the Amazon description states one (the latter is the one that matters). I did find a voucher for a free icepack in my box, but it goes through Facebook chat and I haven't been able to connect. For an shoulder ice pack, it is probably one of the better ones I could find, some small tweeks would just make it so much better.
