Capello Extra Large Display Digital Alarm Clock White/Pine - D Frame

I read a review elsewhere that complained this looked cheap and I think if you get ridiculously close it does but from a normal distance it looks great. A nice modern look. It functions well. It has 3 brightness settings and two alarms. The alarm is a standard alarm sound. The numbers are nice and big.

This alarm clock looks great and will almost always wake me up, which a lot of people have a hard time doing.

I originally got this clock for my ~7yo son's room, thinking it would be cordless and would relieve me from answering so many questions about "how many minutes until...." Unfortunately, it seems like the batteries only save the time setting in the case of power failure rather than run the clock, so a corded connection is necessary. AND THE CORD IS BLACK! Someone decorating in modern birch and white (presumably why someone would buy a piece like this) would NOT want a black cord sticking out like a sore thumb... even if you were going to run the cord over and behind the clock on a white nightstand or dresser, it would still stand out - in a bad way.The look: I'd give this five stars based on the clean look of just the unit WITHOUT THE BLACK CORD. They don't show the cord in any of the product pictures or on the box. Negative two stars for misleading marketing and completely ruined look.I also like how lightweight the unit is.And the size- I tested it and left it plugged in across the room from where I sleep. The numbers were large enough I could read them at night without glasses, but dim enough not to bother me or keep me awake (I'm pretty sensitive to light and sounds). Have not tested the alarm function as we don't expect to use that at all.So- if I can find a replacement white cord for this, I'd love it. I'm just really annoyed about the disconnect between the design of the unit and the actual cord you need to make it work.

Mediocre looks and sounds quality. It has terrible radio reception, and can't connect to wifi. I can only use it through Bluetooth. For the price it should be a smart speaker. This product is way overpriced for what it is. Save your money and keep browsing

So annoying, got this so my teen would get himself up in the mornings. However, I'm still having to yell at him because the buttons stopped working and we could not change the clock from daylight savings. Waste of money and my effort. I didn't even buy this from Amazon, but I'm so annoyed I'm posting here.

Great clock got it for my mother-in-law her 98yr old eyes can see it.
