PERFECT SIZE, AND GREAT PRICE!
Arrived on time as promised. The overall dimensions of this switch are awesome. I wish I had found it a while back after I had purchased and affordable one. That one is bulky, too lightweight, and made entirely from plastic (but I really didn't care about that part). To keep it from moving while in use I had to secure it to a steel plate. Even after I modified that, and other features it lacked, it still sucked. It's just too tall. Then I found this foot switch, and was blown away by how well built it looks. Oh, and the price too! Everything about the size of it is perfect. After reading the data sheet I found enclosed in it's box, I decided to open the switch to see exactly what is needed to ensure correct installation for the supply cord, as this version did not offer it. I want a custom fit due to a small space. Wrapping up the excess is sloppy. After removing the switch cover I saw the microswitch was under a removable cover, and I couldn't see the terminals with it on. There's a small plastic retainer that needs gently pushed away from the cover's edge in order for it to let go of it. It snapped right off with little effort. I was a little bent about it at first, but realized the cover stays quite securely over the microswitch just fine without it. Will it stay that way? Hard to say, but it does take an unexpected amount of effort to remove it. For curiosity I repeated it a few times, and there were no changes. I think it'll be fine, and I don't think it's worth the effort, or even necessary to seek a replaced under the warranty. I have yet to install it for trying it out, but I'm excited about it for sure.

Perfect for the Home Shop
Exactly what I was looking for: I needed a small foot switch for use on low voltage (<15 VDC) model power tools since it was inconvenient using the switch on the tool itself. Well constructed mostly of metal, and should stand up to normal wear & tear for home/hobby use. If you need something for industrial use, I would go with a different model. Two negatives with the foot switch itself: 1) there is barely enough space between the end of the NC and NO tabs on the microswitch to maneuver the female connector that needs to be used (not provided); 2) the "cover return spring" is not scored to either the bottom or the cover which makes it interesting putting the assembly back together after connecting the wires. Also, the listing should include a photo of the back of the box, which shows the prep for the wires (and most importantly, that it requires two, 3/16" wide female connectors).

Great switch.
I work on clocks. Old clocks. New clocks. Antique clocks. The work requires the use of micro lathes, milling machines, woodworking tools, etc. Much of the work requires "3 hands" and that is where this switch comes in to fill the bill. I tie a "pigtail" (extra electrical cord) into the tool's power cord and route the positive connection through the switch so I can turn the machine on with a simple press of the foot while having both hands free to operate the machine. It works so well that I keep a spare in my shop "just in case."FYI, I have tried the version of this switch that turns on with one press and stays on until you press it a second time. I like this one better as it gives me better and more responsive control of my equipment and from a safety standpoint, should I run into a problem I don't have to fumble with finding/pressing the switch. I just move my foot off the switch and the machine stops instantly.Great little switch. I have no idea how long they last as I've never had one break, wear out or stop working.

Replacement for original equipment
Purchased as a replacement for original switch of same model number. This is used on a weigh and fill machine, original switch lasted ten years in a dusty environment and was beginning to require frequent applications of silicon spray to make it through a day of production. I never opened it up just sprayed silicon in and continued on with work. Ordered the new switch and just swapped it out, no changes in wire terminals, quick and easy. I see that the internal microswitch has changed a little and is made in another country, I hope this remains as reliable as the original. I will clean up the original and keep as backup. Back to work!

A perfect replacement for old surgical chair.
This replacement foot switch is better than the original and just as durable. It was a bargain price wise.

Compact Switch
Small, not a trip hazard in a small workshop. I wanted something that did not resemble a shoebox on the floor to get in the way. Easy to connect wiring. Metal housing with ground connection is great. Nice addition to my scroll saw

Great foot switch
I have an old 24" Delta scroll saw that I re wired. I decided to wire in this foot pedal. It is very thin, compared to many other foot pedals, which makes it less straining on your leg while using it. It has a very solid feel, and i like the deliberate, but easy click it makes when you push on it. It isn't so light of a click that you are constantly accidentally tapping it on when you don't want to, but it also doesn't require you to use more force than necessary to get it to work. I will plan on getting more of them for my other tools!
