Why did you pick this product vs others?: great product, leaves mouth feeling clean, not the pasty residue from usual toothpaste

We randomly discovered this toothpaste in a pharmacy while on holiday back in Australia and we’ve never looked back. Once you get past the salty flavor and slightly gritty texture, it’s magic. NOTHING... and I mean nothing... has ever cleaned my teeth this well. It’s non-toxic, actually good for you, and doesn’t have all the usual junk added in. Just clean, simple ingredients that leave your mouth feeling fresh and ridiculously clean. We’ve officially converted. This is our forever toothpaste now. Give it a go & your teeth'll thank you!

I've been a long user of various Weleda products and I've always loved their choice of ingredients, packaging, and the efficacy of their line. When I saw many unwanted ingredients in my usual toothpaste (Tom's of Maine) I decided to make a switch. This toothpaste is certainly unlike any I've seen around, so I read some reviews and decided to take a chance on it. I am so delighted by this product! The salty flavor is nice, in my opinion, and not as salty as, say, the ocean. It tastes as "bad" as those toothpastes made with a lot of baking soda. I love the minty flavor that mixes with it and the feeling that I'm really washing my teeth and gums. Better yet, afterwards I don't have any intense after-taste like I would with a conventional toothpaste (you know, that flavor when you taste orange juice after and it's all gross.) One of my favorite aspects is that my teeth feel clean for much longer than they do with other toothpastes; I don't really get that "fuzzy" tooth feeling. If you're sensitive to salty flavors, perhaps go with a different paste. As for me, I like the salty flavor and how it seems to cleanse like the ocean.

This does a good job of getting my teeth clean and smooth. Yes, it does have a salty taste and isn't like the normal minty fresh, but I've also made my own toothpaste so I'm used to non-traditional tooth scrubbers! I like this one for convenience when I've run out of the one I made or for a change of pace. Good brand. Not a bad price for quality and none of those nasty, harmful fillers.

I am in love with this stuff! Did you know that stress and heredity can cause your body to produce more plaque? I've gotten to know this pretty well, and due to some fairly stressful years, have really struggled with keeping my gums healthy. In conjunction with a kick-*** electric toothbrush, Plax pre-brush rinse, and this toothpaste, my teeth have never felt cleaner. After the very first time I used it, I was shocked at how clean my teeth felt (and I'd used hydrogen peroxide/baking soda toothpaste, too). It was really remarkable, and I rarely use anything else. Yes, the taste is a little unusual to someone born/bred in the US on Colgate, Crest, etc. However, I've gotten used to it pretty quickly, and I prefer it to my previous go-to's, so I'll be stocking up on this and recommending it to my husband and friends, too. I've only been using it for a month or so, and my next cleaning is in 5-6 months, so I'm really excited to see if the small trouble spots I've been focusing on are at normal levels now. If the news is as good as I suspect it'll be, I'll update my review. Highly recommend!

I had a friend who said when at sea he brushed with salt water only and his teeth felt great and had no cavities or other problems. I tried this toothpaste and love it. It has a slightly salty taste but makes my mouth feel clean and appears to making my teeth whiter (only used it a week so far). It does not sud up like OTC toothpaste so that's a little diff that what I'm used to but I believe this stuff is better than the OTC pastes.

I'll preface this review by saying that I have not researched the affects of fluoride, etc., that might cause some people to use this toothpaste. My wife's doctor recommended this because my wife was having mouth sores, bleeding gums, etc. I started using it simply to try it (salt toothpaste ... sounds strange). I love it - it gives me a fresh, clean feeling. It also has helped with dry-mouth and a weird issue I've had since childhood where toothpaste has, on occasion, made me gag and even vomit. Still, I was worried that the toothpaste may not be protecting my teeth as well as the traditional type. I've been to two dentists visits since with no cavities and good reviews. I can highly recommend this product.

Fantastic product , I work as a dental hygienist and have recommended this product for years to patients with multitude of mouth conditions .A patient who was suffering for years with burning mouth syndrome and under care of hospital started using this and her consultant started recommending it to her other patients after seeing results.Also good with chemo patients or just generally , sounds revolting but surprisingly refreshing ..bit like a Murray mint salty but minty, be aware has no fluoride so if having chemo will need to seek advice from dentist as dry mouth can result in higher risk of tooth decay in some cases .

I've been looking for a decent non-fluoride toothpaste for a while and I've found this to be the best. It comes in a metallic tube, which gives it a rather substantial feeling. I was expecting the paste itself to be white, but it was a dark, translucent grainy paste. It doesn't taste too salty and it doesn't have that fake peppermint taste which most toothpastes have. This is definitely my favourite range of toothpastes; I've tried the Calendula toothpaste and it's pretty good, but it tastes mildly of liquorish, which I personally don't like. All in all, it's a very good toothpaste, and is priced similarly to most toothpastes, if you have sensitive teeth they also have a green one which is called Plant Gel toothpaste. I purchased this toothpaste, as a more 'natural' alternative to the usual brands, after becoming increasingly aware of all the unnecessary chemicals in many products. After just using minty toothpastes, this one does taste odd, it is salty(!), but I soon got used to it. I find that compared to 'normal' toothpaste, this one lacks the foaminess and tingliness, however it does seem to do as good a job at keeping my teeth clean.
