Guide for Christian Prayer: The liturgy of the hours- For use with edition no.406 - 2015 Paperback

Very useful in conjunction with Christian Prayer Book. My only comment is after spending $40 for a prayer book one would think the publisher would give the first and current year guide for free. I was slightly upset to open my book and included was the 2014 edition. Back impression of the publisher's sales and marketing policy.I will not buy next years edition, $2.50 plus $4.95 shipping and handling is an insult. This should be available on line for free or a very minimal fee, like $1.00 max..!

This booklet is the guide for page numbers of each day's office for the regular size Christian Prayer, the one-volume edition of the Liturgy of the Hours. The pagination of the large print Christian Prayer is different. The guide is helpful at times when the proper office is difficult to determine, such as when a Sunday and a major feast day occur on the same day.

I could not accurately practice the Liturgy of the Hours without this, it is invaluable, accurate, simple to use, and a big time saver. Yes you can look up this info online but then you have to be able to get online when you need it and some such web sites come and go. I always have this in my Christian Prayer book ready at hand.

A number of years ago I got the Christian Prayer book I had not been able to use it because as I am home bound I could not get the guide but when I went to google and put in Liturgy of the hours it showed me were to and how (amazon) to go and get it. The guide helps me to say the prayers which is what I have wanted to do.

We have no Christian stores in our area and I really wanted this guide to be able to say the liturgy of the hours again.

I order one of these every year. It's a great guide for using the Christian Prayer book. The large print is easy to read (for my old eyes, it's great). Also, it fits nicely in the book for easy reference.

The St. Joseph Guide is necessary for the most profitable use of "Christian Prayer". An alternative for those with poor sight or impatience with placing ribbons, is DivineOffice.org, where you can enlarge the text ( a feature on computers) and all the work is done for you.
