Deficiency (missing compact disc and deliberately deteriorared video disc footage quality)
I would be more satisfied if I could afford the Super Deluxe Editionhttps://www.amazon.co.uk/Dream-Action-Super-Deluxe-Boxset/dp/B07H62NQCP/ref=sr_1_2?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1544548275&sr=1-2but it was to expensive for me. From my perspective I would be glad more of having the third bonus compact disc from the Super Deluxe Edition and of excluding the video disc. Pity! Furthermore, to my disappointment the DVD is of the NTSC (normally 720×480 pixels) format instead of PAL (normally 720×576 pixels). When one decides to publish an original footage of 4×3 aspect ration, the resulting quality is deteriorated (effectively 640×480 pixels if one deducts the black vertical bars). The employed PAL system would offer us the maximal quality level of 720×576 pixels and not the blatant 640×480. Apparently Cherry Red (and regrettably not only they), do deliberately detriment (reduce) the originally shot 4×3 images of standard definition so to put them into the 720×480 frames of the NTSC format. Thus, we cannot enjoy the maximal possible quality level of the standard definition. I reckon, many labels proceed that way because the North American DVD players cannot cope the PAL standard discs, whereas the European ones are able to play back the discs of both video format I mentioned. The second reason of such attitude may be just a need to reduce cost (to not releasee separate European and North American versions). In such circumstances it is hard to believe for me that the original 4×3 videos would be ever released in the PAL system (maximal possible definition of 720×576 pixels). Lost forever, I'm afraid!

First bought 34 years ago this month.
Howard Jones got me into synths big time when New Song was released. I cycled to my grans 17 miles to Knaresborough from Bradford to save 50p as I was teen to buy Dream into Action. Look Mama was my favourite. It sounded awesome back then. My gran gave me £100 towards a new drop handle bike, so it was worth it in the end.Highly polished electronic album of great songs. I wasn't keen on him ditching the one-man band for a band and backing vocals.I bought Humans Lib in white vinyl last month and was very impressed. So I had to had to get this album.

Well Mastered Album- One of his 2 best albums-The other one: Humans Lib
The album is full of very good tracks, eg, in particular the title track "Dream Into Action"( Very bassy),Assault And Battery", which is also good, with like an acoustic piano sound in the mix,(especially most evident at the start)The bass notes really flow with the music. "Hunger For The Flesh" has a very musical sound to it.(Bass notes go very low), and "Bounce Right Back" has a really dramatic, forceful sound, especially right at the start .This is in addition to the songs "Things Can Only Get Better", "Is There A Difference", and "Like To Get To Know You Well" which were the most popular tracks played .Very well mastered album.

The Dream Box Set.
Very pleased with item purchased. Added bonus extras, featuring rare tracks and previously unheard demos of Howard`s material, worth adding to the collection of any fan. My only criticism. was with the packaging of this item , which was packed in too large a box, with insufficient protection, resulting in the slight damage to the box set outer case. In regard to the price of item, I was slightly disappointed.
