Calphalon Nylon Ladle Utensil

Where is the ladle when you need one? No where, could not find it, it disappeared somewhere between the last soup I made and the one three days ago. I perused Amazon, and found this one was very popular.Calphanol has the brand name in cookware that is to be admired. Their cookware is proven to be sturdy, well made and long lasting. This ladle us the best I have used. I love the handle that does not slip and has a good grip. The squared bottom ridges are perfect. I have not seen these on any other ladle, and it is true you can get the last drop. It is easy to clean in the dishwasher or be hand. Looking at my other kitchen utensils, I am thinking I need to purchase an entirely new set.Recommended. prisrob 02-16-17

When this arrived my wife looked at me like I lost my mind. What is that, it's not even round all the way. I told her that it was designed that way for scooping things out of the bottom of a dish or bowl. She gave me the , yeah right look.Well after she used it the first time after we made some soup, she fell in love with it. She actually told me she was WRONG...... I should have recorded that moment.From the looks of this thing I think I will be able to remind her over and over again. It is built very well and very sturdy. It really does work as advertised. I was so impressed with the look, feel and versatility that I threw out all my miss matched utensils and ordered the  Calphalon 5-Piece Nylon Utensil Set  I am really impressed with these and now have a full matching set.

What a great utensil. It is very light and has many reviewers noting it has an unusual shape. The only thing I can add is how you can actually get to the soup/stew/whatever easily for maximum mixing of all the flavors. It has an equivalent to a scooper on one side. In addition you can be a leftie or rightie because both sides of this ladle can pour.I did put a guilt trip on myself for the +$9.00 price. In retrospect it's pretty cool for a ladle. I bet their R&D and Engineers put their head together on this one.In case you didn't get it. I give it 2 thumbs up.

Believe it or not, I have searched forever for a ladle! My very old one was disintegrating, but I had trouble finding another that was lightweight and included pouring spouts on the sides, which was important because I use the ladle mainly for breakfast foods (e.g., pancakes, waffles). This ladle is plastic and lightweight but seems very sturdy. In addition to the pouring spouts, it has measurement markers on the inside, although it's hard to see these while using, so they aren't overly helpful. It also has a flat bottom that is supposed to help you scrap sides of the bowl; this seems a bit gimmicky to me. But overall, I really like this ladle and am glad I found it on Amazon.

The media could not be loaded.  The actual core of the length of the handle is actually thin. We were trying to warm up cold chili and it snapped.I loved it, but I’m not sure if I should buy another. :(

I owned a lessor quality version of this ladle back in 70’s and accidentally broke the handle of it. I’ve searched for a similar one ever since. Calphalon designs and constructs their kitchen tools with excellence. The flat edge and pouring spouts sets this apart from other ladles. It’s well worth the money spent.

Love this ladle. I wanted something that was sturdy, but also had pourable spout. Can't believe how rare that is to find! Seems most have one feature, but not the other. The flat front side is just a really cool added bonus. Haven't had the color turn as other reviewers have mentioned.

I needed a ladle that wouldn't scratch my beautiful new Caphalon nonstick multi pot set, and after looking and reading other reviews got this one, for the protection of the pot but also for the intriguing design of the flat bottom on one side to scrape the pot down (thinking of my recent jam making foray). If you're curious and wondering if you should try it, do! There are more detailed reviews on here (one gentleman had a fantastic review that caused me to try it), but just know if you think it may be useful, it will be. :). Thicker soups, stews, and jam have been easier than with a 'traditional' ladle to get much more out of the pot with, I'm happy quite happy with it. I hope it stands up to time, but what I can tell you meanwhile is, it's been great so far as a tool for me.

It came in 2 pieces, and was split from the handle and the head. Returned and bought something else.

nothing. i use it to ladel soup. Calphalon makes only the highest quality products.
