First let me say, I think the bag is an awesome design which offers some unique features. As promised it can be a fairly tidy looking briefcase, shoulder bag, or backpack. You can hide away the straps and what was critical for me, also slip it over the handle of rolling luggage–towards the bottom of the pocket that hides the backpack straps is a full-length zipper that when unzipped creates a trolley sleeve. It's pretty ingenious. When in use as a backpack you could slip an extra notebook or something similar in what makes for a fairly deep and roomy pocket.As a personal item it doesn't take advantage of the height you have under seats - that can be an advantage for some travelers. When on slid on your luggage isn't going to offer the threat of being top heavy, easier to take in and out from under seat, etc.The pulls on the zipper are nice and soft which gives just a touch of tactile aesthetic to what appears to be a fairly resistant and stiffer bag material - scotch-guard this, and I would have fairly good about it handling the rigors of travel. It presents as a sturdy bag. The only thing that may distract from the presentation as a more expensive bag is the plastic shoulder strap latches - although in the past, those things can last longer than stitching if made of the right type of plastic.The external pockets are nice and decently roomy - I suspect a 3-1-1 bag that had some give could fit in the bottom long pocket, certainly in the outer zipper of the larger pocket. The inner pocket will fit a 10 in ipad in a slim case. Both look to expand about an inch in depth.The zipper for the main compartment does not go all the way around, so it won't fold out butterfly style but not sure that would be a problem in usage. Might keep things more secure in usage. The laptop area is not well padded, so anything larger than a 13 in a padded sleeve might be pushing it. The rest of the compartment expands nicely, however and there is a mesh sleeve that goes partway down for handy access.If only....the color were the value of green pictured. I saw it as more of a kelly/clover/dark spring green - but in person it is more of a olive/khaki value. Just not what I was looking for but a super nice color if you are looking for something more serious as opposed to fashionable. Such a shame. I may still consider one in another color. It's just an issue of personal taste, so I waffled about even taking off the star. The purple would actually show stains less, and still offer a nice pop to my luggage set, but they want more for it an that just irks me sometimes :-) Maybe they just have a lot of the green ones to get rid of!The star came off because I feel they need to reshoot those images to better detect the value. I know monitors show colors differently but I haven't had issues with other products I've ordered so I'm going to take the side of the fence that the color isn't correctly depicted.Hope this helps!

Very comfortable, multiple compartments fit both my 14.1" laptop and 10" tablet pc, with chargers and other gears like hdmi cables, flash drives, etc. The straps are sturdy enough to hold up the weight of my books, laptops, stationery and water bottle, so that's great! The water resistant material keeps my laptop safe from the rainy days.

This bag is about 1/4 inch too small to accommodate the laptop in the laptop section of the case. Wish I had returned it as I have seen others now that I like better and actually fit my laptop.

I wanted a bag that fit on the handle of my rolling suitcase. I have enjoyed the convenience of that feature. The bag is also surprisingly roomy.

Looks great, but it's too soft which makes the zippers difficult to manipulate.
