Catalyst iPhone X Case [Compatible iPhone Xs] Impact Protection, Military Grade Drop and Shock Proof Premium Material Quality, Slim Design Clear

UPDATE, Jan 2022: Well, the lanyard string that attaches to the case is literally hanging by a thread - I can't use it anymore, which is disappointing since that was a selling feature for me. Why they use a thin string to attach the lanyard to such an expensive piece of technology is baffling.Great case, but wish I didn't get the clear color -- it's completely yellowed all around the sides (the back did not yellow). I really like that the case has a hole with lanyard - I use that a LOT as I don't like to carry my iPhone in my hands. The lanyard is holding up well, which is surprising given how thin the string is that connects it to the case; I wish they'd make that string thicker - I worry that it will eventually break and my phone will go flying.

It is a bit hard to tell from the picture, taken from my girlfriends iphone 7 (sucker!) ;) but the lens opening does not fit the XS lens perfectly.Though the case fits the XS and the lens fits inside the case’s lens cutout, this case is NOT made for the XS. I rated 3 stars because it should not be marketed as an XS case just because the case happens to work ok with the phone. The space between the top of the lens and the edge of the lens cutout is twice the size it should be to be proportional. The space on the bottom of the lens is very tiny—the edge of the lens touches the edge of the cutout. It is not too noticeable, but dirt gets into the space easily, and it’s not cool to market something as being made for the XS and fitting it when it is old stock made for a different iPhone.To be fair, the case offers great protection otherwise, and it does not add a lot of bulk to the phone. The back of the case is gets fingerprints and smudges very easily, but it feels nice to hold. I wasn’t able to clean the inside well before putting it on my phone; I think it is the material of the case that makes the inside of the back hard to get smudge-free. I really like the case but wish it fit the lens properly.

Love this product! I’ve always been a Lifeproof fan until now. I’ve purchased this Catalyst Slim case for 4 iPhones - wife’s iPhone X, moms iPhone 7, and two of my 8 Plus’ so far. The only minor drawback is the the clear back is a fingerprint magnet. I’ve also purchased the Catalyst glass shield and after a few drops both still perfect. I love how slim the case is and it has a clear back so you can see all of the back of the iPhone. 12/16/19 update- Awesome protection for iPhone. All have held up excellent except the clear finally faded to yellow orange around the sides but still maximum protection just cosmetic. I’ve owned many other clear cases and have yet to see one that doesn’t.

When shopping for a case, I was looking for something that had a high level of drop protection and was also clear in color. I think I found both in the Catalyst case that fits my iPhone XS. I haven't dropped it yet, but it has a very snug, secure fit which comes up slightly around the edges, but does not interfere with swiping. The button covers work nicely and have a slight texture to them, making them easy to locate. The area of the case that covers the mute button actually is a round dial that makes a distinctive click when you turn it. The clear case is actually opaque around the edges but completely clear on the back. Only downside to the back being completely clear is that it's easy to see fingerprints.

I have only had this case for a couple weeks so I don’t know how well it will hold up over time or for any serious drops but here’s what I like so far*see through and not bulky. You can see the color if the phone and it doesn’t add a lot of bulk to the phone*the turn nob for silence mode is really cool! Way better than trying to slide the button in other cases* I actually like the wrist strap. I use it more than I thought* it has held up well so far with the occasional drop from my three year old

Support small companies! Catalyst makes a premium quality case that is minimalistic, thin, and provides elite protection. I can throw my iPhone XS at my little brothers without worry. The mute button knob is a great feature and the little vibration the iPhone does immediately afterwards makes this verrry satisfying.Customer service is also very prompt when contacting them through email, and they go above and beyond to make sure you get what you deserve for paying a premium. Catalyst is small enough to give you proper care and attention.

I wanted a slim case for my new iPhone X, but also wanted some impact protection. This one got the best reviews so I ordered it. Fits perfectly and does the job. The phone looks and feels less clunky and I have more protection if I drop it. One neat feature is the dial over the mute switch. It’s so much easier to mute and unmute the phone now!

We’ve had the dropsies with our phones. Replaced 2 screens then bought the catalyst case. Still have dropsies but no more broken screens. Case is fantastic

Lovely case, I like the strap as well, good for walking/trekking.Beware the sides add some bulk/width to the phone, which is obviously what protects it but if you have small hands this will make it more difficult to handle the phone.Love the buttons, very clicky and the wheel is a nice novelty, although not giving the case 4 stars as I think over time this will eventually wear down and stop working and also find it a bit pricey.
