Good Radio.
I purchased this radio for a guest suite. My original radio, very similar in features and size, started to disintegrate, i.e. rubber tuning dial became sticky. Ocean radio has good size but the LCD window is rather small for supporting a useable clock. Set up took a little bit of time but thank you for the quick start paper that made initial setup, though limited, fairly easy. Sound is good for a small room, e.g. bedroom. Provided remote makes changing stations easy. Buyer must provide 2 AAA batteries for remote.

Speaker broke 3 months after purchase.
The set up of this radio took a while and it wasn't very easy to do, very labor intensive. While it worked it had a beautiful strong sound; however 3 months after its delivery the speaker broke and the sound became extremely fuzzy rendering the radio useless. I never raised the volume more than just above half of the volume capacity and that shouldn't have blown the speaker. For what I paid for this radio it should last longer than 3 months.

After 7 Months, Signficant Firmware and Connection Problems
I got this to replace an over the air analog FM radio that got pretty poor reception. This radio is in an office that has some birds for company and is generally on during the day. Probably the most intensive part of the setup is getting it linked to your WiFi network. The unit searches for available SSID's (your home WiFi) and after you select it, you have to enter your WiFi password. This is probably the most awkward part of the setup as there is no keyboard, so you have to use buttons to go through the numeric/alpha choices to get the password entered. Because the password becomes hidden as you enter, it is easy to make a mistake, but it is a one-time even unless you change your network settings later. This awkwardness is true whether using the buttons on the console, the remote, or the app. It would be nice if the app had a keyboard popup and no-hide password, which would be much faster and less prone to errors.Sound quality is pretty good considering the price and features. Searching for digital stations is easy. The search menu allows you to narrow searches to continent/country/state. Menus also allow filter by type of station. Once you find a station you like, you press a button to make it favorite.Except for time and date, the unit retains settings after being unplugged. Time and date are made current after plugging in via Internet time signal. If you want to get rid of all settings and start over, there is a master software reset, which seems to be the only way to lose all settings.I also tried the Universal Plug and Play function (UPnP) to access some DLNA music streaming NAS devices on my home network. It worked quite well. The only bug I have found is when I moved from UPnP back to Internet radio, the radio would not work. And when I went back to UPnP, it would not work either. It did not lose a network connection as I could see from my router menus that it was still connected. I got everything working again after unplugging and replugging the unit.I sent an email to Ocean Digital support and heard back very quickly (half a day). After exchanging information on a number emails in a short period of time, I think they are looking at a firmware update. They did provide me the ID for the latest firmware, so we confirmed my unit has the newest version. So, I have only had this for a short time, but overall, I am impressed.Update 2-17-20After 3 months, I still like the unit, but it seems to have an irritating bug in the firmware. About once a week to every 10 days, the unit loses its connection to the Internet. This seems to be a bug in the network connecting. It still shows on my router as a connected device, but none of the functions work. There is a simple fix, however. You have to unplug the unit and re-power. It then reconnects to everything and works fine. It is not enough to turn off the unit. You must unplug it, which is a form of reboot. Unplugging does not reset and clear the unit. It just reboots. I have corresponded with Ocean Digital support, who have tried to be very helpful. They offered a return and substitution, but I decided to keep the unit. By the way, for network nerds, it did not help to configure the unit for a fixed IP address.Update 6-20-20 Network disconnection issues continue. It will work for a week or two and then disconnect. Last week it got severe and would continuously disconnect. I thought it would not get back to working, but then magically it did. Ocean Digital released a firmware update a few months ago, but it really did not help. In fact, I had to set the buffer to a maximum of 8 seconds in the setup menu. So, I have lowered my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars. I may end up giving it 1 star if this nuisance is not resolved.

Spectacular pleasure
This is my third Ocean Digital. This one is my all time favorite. Had two identical radios in the past. One still works great. The other won’t connect to internet. We have tried everything possible but the other two including new one works at same location where the bad won’t. It is beautiful and was very simple to set up. Thanks for making me so absolutely delighted. While I was waiting for this one I carried other one back n forth upstairs and down because I found a spectacular station. Thanks again

Great sound, easy to use... during 1 year
The quality of the sound is amazing and the device is so easy to use and to set up that I didn't even have to read the manual.Unfortunately, after only one year of use (not very intensive) the speaker suddenly muted. The radio still works but I had to buy a pair of speakers to connect to it.

Good cost benefit
I found the radio really easy to operate, specially to search and store new radio stations. The display is small but functional and the sound is ok for voice; for music it is not a good option, as it should be expected, unless you hook it up with good speakers. Good appearance, good materials, sits really well in my desk; fulfills my expectations. Overall I am very satisfied.

Great Internet Radio
Replaces an older Logitech Squeezebox. This one is much better, with more features and a remote. I just set it up, so these are my early thoughts. The sound is good for it's size. Has a 'port', vent, in back for bass response. The volume steps are a bit 'wide' for me. I prefer narrower, gradual steps for more control. The remote is great. Integrates well with radio setting, etc. The vol up, down buttons are the best I've ever used, they're diagonal, very ergonomic. In Standby mode (doesn't appear to be a power 'off' button), display alternates between time and Weather (after setting your location in settings, configuration section). You can see the PDF manual above.Tons of internet stations to explore, and can be used as a traditional FM radio with telescoping antenna in back.Nice, black stained wood grain cabinet. Very classy looking.Highly recommended.
