Caldwell Stable Table Shooting Bench, Collapsible Frame

Nice table. The set up is simple. They say the seat is ambidextrous but it is more than that. The way it works you can use it either side and any angle you want. It is fully collapsible but still a little bulky. Enough room on the table for you and extra gear, ammo, mags and such. I highly recommend this product!

I love this shooting bench! There are more stable tables out there. But, for the price and the portability this is top notch. It is light enough to make transportation convenient. I had a minor issue with it after about 6 outings (still under warranty), and I called Midway USA and explained the issue to them. They asked me to email a couple of photos which I did. They were very helpful and understanding. Within a week I had the replacement part. I can't stress enough about how great their customer service is. Other vendors should take note!

My hunting buddy and I bought this along with a Caldwell Lead Sled DFT2 so that we could do precision zeroing in of our rifles. The table arrived on time, new, undamaged and partially pre-assembled. Instructions were quite clear and needed assembly tools were included. The two legs for the stool were part of the assembly that we were required to do but one leg was not right. The rubber foot on the bottom end of the leg was backwards when the leg was installed so that it sat on its point instead of flat footed. The was no way to correct it except for removing the rubber foot and turning it around which prevented reinstalling the screw that helped keep it secure. The table is solidly made but still quite easy to get movement in the legs when using it. Setting on on a solid surface and learning to shoot without putting undue pressure on the table helps. This is clearly where a significant part of the learning curve comes in. We debated about returning it but decided we could use it effectively with practice, as we will use it for target practice as well as zeroing rifles in. Based upon all the other reviews we read online re other portable shooting table products, we think we made the best choice short of building a solid, fixed into the ground table.

Okay, this is a table designed to assist while shooting. It has some advertised features. For the cost of admission, what more could you ask of it? After making do with various folding tables and folding chairs that I already owned and feeling the body aches from contorting in to uncomfortable positions to sight a target, I decided to give the Stable Table Lite a try. Box arrived within a couple of days, check. Box was new, unopened and even wrapped in cellophane, check. All parts an hardware was present and accounted for, check. Now I'd imagine if you have a need for this table, you'd also already own at least a basic set of tools. So no reason to complain about the included 10mm/13mm combination wrench. Assembly was a breeze needing only a 1/4" drive ratchet, an extension and both a 10mm & 13mm socket. The instructions provided may not be easy to comprehend first read, but once you look at the parts, you'll see you can't get it wrong. Well, as long as you understand no brute force is required at any step of the assembly. If you've experienced putting furniture together over the years, then you'll understand there really is no hole alignment issue and all the legs fit just fine! From unboxing to the first test fit was about 30 minutes. And immediately when I positioned my rifle on the table and sighted in with body and limbs all tucked in close and comfortable, I could instantly see the benefits of this device. There may be tables with other features, maybe easier to carry, maybe a bit sturdier, but after using this Stable Table Lite as a replacement for standard tables and chairs, I have found exactly what the doctor ordered to get the task done. I don't see how you could go wrong with this table. It does exactly what it is intended to do and at a price point that would be not worth trying to DIY. As for the advertised features, it is light, it does fold easily and compact for carry, the seat is adjustable, it is stable while in use, the table top surface has plenty space and sighting while seated is comfortable.

Assembling was pretty strait forward. Would suggest using 10mm socket in a drill with an extention for all nuts, but one carriage bolt to attach seat to table. Not enough room for a socket wrench to fit in on that one.Table top measures 32 inches strait up from ground. Seat measures 17 and one half inches strait up from ground. Table top capacity is rated for 125lbs., and is large enough for most any model of Lead Sled, with plenty of room in front. Seat capacity is rated for 275lbs. Would suggest adding some sort of non-slip material to table top for Lead Sleds. Set up and take down is quick and easy, and folds up to about 8" thick for storage and portability. There is no seat height adjustment for shorter people when using a lead sled on the table top. If your're 6' tall, no problem. I'm 5'-5" tall and will have to add 6" of seat cushion when using a Lead Sled on it. I purchased it for using a Lead Sled 3 on it, to site in, and pattern different types of turkey loads, which are hard recoiling 12 ga. shotgun loads. Table is plenty sturdy enough, and love the portability of it. Weighs about 30 lbs., and water won't harm it. Over all, it's a well enginered portable shooting bench, for the money.

Really fidgety. It was easy to put together, but very difficult to try and set up. Your best to set this up once and leave it. 🫤❗️

Within about 20 minutes of opening the box, I had it set up in the backyard and sighted in my .30-06. Works really well and seems to be pretty sturdy. Even though the seat is hard plastic, it is actually pretty comfortable. I highly recommend this and would buy it again.

Easy assembly. Stable. Quick set up and knock down although we just move it into the barn after the third day. I can't build one for this price. Amazon delivered it to the farm. What could be easier? Recommended, I'd buy it again.

Lightweight vs wood bench, easy setup, stable and table is large enough. I think it's perfect. Im about 250ish lbs plus a gun, rest and ammo, this thing is study and doesnt give me any questions about holding me up. Im 6ft and dont have an issue with the size, fits me comfortably enough. I recommend to my friends!

Very pleased with this table. I use it for load development, zeroing and target practice. Stable and easily deployed. Much easier than years of using my truck tailgate as a platform and constantly jigging the truck around to line up with the target. Only criticism is the coach screws used to hold it all together. The square shoulder- under the screw heads are longer than the thickness of the brackets that they pass through, meaning that they can impact and potentially break the half saddle washers that they then pass through. I changed most of my bolts for stainless steel flange head bolts except for the two bolts that are at the top and bottom of the seat-to-table tube which need the square shoulders to run effectively in the curved slots and allow you to tighten the handwheels. I just filed the square shoulders to be shorter - took a few minutes and problem solved.

Great piece of kit. Folds up to a reasonably neat package and is easily carried. I tried a few other tables from friends but non were stable enough on uneven ground whereas the design of the Caldwell accommodates most terrains. Amazon's price beats UK shops by a long way.
