What are the dimensions of the actual printed area for both stamp 1 and stamp 2?

Both printed stamps have a footprint of 70mm by 25mm. They did a great job in enabling me to produce 16 certified LPA copies without the need of giving a penny to a solicitor!

About how many impressions will each ink pad do?

As many as you like if you have the ink pad

does it matter it the stamp isn't right at the bottom of the page, I've noticed folks say its rather large?

There is plenty of room on the bottom of each page, just make sure each page is signed and dated, the final page is also stamped and signed using the 2nd stamp as the final page. All in the original instructions on the advert.
