Defective
Update 3/14/2020:The device rejected pairing request from any phone (I tried 3, including the new Pixel 4).Not recommended.Returned.Original review:My setup:This Sbrick PlusA Steelseries Stratus XLA Lego Power Function battery boxOne Lego Power Function servoOne Lego Power Function large motorTwo Lego Power Function medium motorThe app: Brickcontroller 2 for Android. (It's great and it's free. I would totally make some contribution so the author can keep up the good work.)The phone: Nexus 5x (yes, the LG one). You need to pair the Sbrick and the Steelseries with the phone, one at a time, first. Then, fire up the app, search for the brick, connect it, then test the sticks. Newer phones should do even better.Assignments:Left joystick: large motor (throttle)Right joystick: servo motor (steering)Directional pad (up - down): medium motor 1 (whatever)Directional pad (right - left): medium motor 2 (whatever)Like:Proportional, physical control on all channels. There is hope to drive the Extreme Offroader 42099 (I hold off due to the phone control. Who plays with the phone control??). I can replace the IR receiver in my Stunt racer with this one so I can control the speed.Dislike: A bit pricey. I understand it's a startup. Hopefully it becomes more affordable in the future (I believe so).Recommended: Sure
