Quality item
This feels very powerful and sturdy. I have used it to sand oak. This does the job, sandpaper is easy to attach and remove. Dust holes take the dust awayHas different speeds, make sure you buy the correct sandpaper as it is slightly bigger and has more dust holes than others. It isn’t quite as noisy as some I have had. This will do the job it is intended for. Good itemIf you found my review helpful please click the helpful button. Thank you

excellent value for money but hard to remove the excess sand dust compartment
This is a sturdy sander, excellent value and great for a first timer! Only complaint is that the compartment for emptying out the excess sand dust is nearly impossible. I have to get my partner to crack it open for me, every time as I genuinely cannot pry it open myself (there is no clear button or release mechanism to do it).

Good value for money
I am quite impressed with the sander. It was brought to replace a B and D I have had for over 10 years.I have knocked off a star as one of the clips that hold the abrasive paper in place is not as positive as it could be. The paper slipped out in use, but I have overcome this by doubling 10mm of it at the end.

Good sander for a reasonable price
Our detail sander has seen better days & when faced with the task of renovating a kitchen, it was proving to be a long task due to the fact that the sanding sheets won't even stick to it. time to look for a new one. Ideally, a sheet sander to tackle things such as skirting board, door frames & doors. So, a quick search of our local DIY store showed us that a basic, branded sheet sander started at around the £30 mark.I did a quick comparison & found this Tacklife one, with £10 off which came in at the same price & it had several good reviews & had same-day delivery! Bonus - now I don't have to go out & pick one up & can instead spend that precious time doing other jobs - like plastering, whilst waiting. So, sander arrived late last night, ready to go first thing this morning. It arrives in a nice, sturdy box, which is always a good sign if the item actually has packaging. It also comes with 80 & 120 grit sheets to start you off. The sheets are true to size for the bottom plate of the sander & stick on well with the velcro. It has 6 speeds & whereas I initially found the 6 to be a bit much, I cranked it up a little at a time once I got going until it was on 5. That seemed to work just fine, without feeling like it was trying to rip itself out of my hands when it got a grip on the door frame. The wall generated a fair amount of dust, but the wooden, painted frames created very little. I could actually see the little dust clouds being sucked back into the sander, so that was a relief as the previous sander fills the whole house with dust.I managed to sand down the door frames, skirting boards & part of the wall in about an hour, using 2 sheets of paper. When emptying the dust compartment, I can see what the other reviewers are referring to in that it is difficult to push the release locking mechanism. Turns out its on the top of the dust box, under the handle, but took 2 of us to get it off - one to hold the sander & the other to push the release & pull.Once off, however, it was easy enough to clean with a brush & empty into the bin. There was a fair amount of dust in it, so I'm happy that it was doing a good job of capturing most of it since there is little on the floor (and the rest of the house) compared to when using the other sander. So far so good. I'm happy with this purchase & it seems to be doing a good job. let's hope it lasts.

no brainer for the price
put this to first use today sanding off four 5 meter x 180 x 15 fascia boards to remove weathering stains, old paint and bitumen to reuse for new guttering using a 40 grit paper of a roll. The best part of 3-4 hours continuous work made easy. the spring clips are really up to the job if you need to use other than the velcro pads.I also use a Tacklife angle grinder and rip saw both of which are more than adequate for the job.

A great sander. Top marks.
A really great sander. Intially due to it's size i did think that it may become heavy to use quite quickly but i was proven wrong. The sander glides over the wood brilliantly. It is much quieter than my previous sanders and the dust collector catches a lot of the sanded dust. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Worth buying - if you have some spare duct tape!
Pros:Sands very well.Mains power lead is a very generous/useful length.Cons:Firstly, the dust box - which is essential with wood - keeps falling apart (the top and bottom plastic halves separate) every 20-30 seconds during use so I had to remove it (of course, securing it with duct tape would resolve this issue, as would wearing a dust mask and protective eyewear!).Secondly, the master on/off switch and the speed control thumb wheel both feel a little cheap and tacky (living up to the brand name!), so long-term durability is perhaps questionable (only time will tell). In comparison, I had an ultra-cheap (Amazon 'one-star' user rated) budget sander which had perfectly decent switches and proved bulletproof (until the brushes packed up).

Tack life 300W sander .
Strong sander , nice it’s speed adjustable. Dust box fitted , collects dust but leaves room like a fog , so better connecting a hoover hose if possible. Hook a loop system is good a sanding sheets stay in place. Good price, good value for your money. Impressed with this sander as long as it keeps on working.
