great book in a great condition - new like new should be - wrapped with nylon :)

I'm not finding this as easy to follow as I hoped. I think the author should have spent more time and space explaining the basics, rather than assuming that everyone who cracks the cover will already have an understanding of those. Having done origami long ago, I thought that would be reasonably easy to pick up. Had he covered the basics well, the more fanciful pieces would have been of more interest. As it is, I have laid origami aside for a while until I get the urge to go hunting for all of the basics on the internet. I had expected to find it in a book which was billed as suitable for beginners as well as others.Thank you for reading my review. I hope you found it helpful.

Contains instructions from simple models for kids, to advanced such as multi-page books folded out of a single page, human forms, and elegant ornaments. There is a section containing many modular units and assemblies for creating mathematically significant 3D shapes as well, good for having as decoration on your desk etc.For the price, it makes an amazing gift (I've bought 3 copies now, while having my own to have in my collection as well)The next step in terms of challenge, would be the book "Origami: From Angel fish to Zen" which takes you from this intermediate level, to mastery of the art! You can also google "5 intersecting tetrahedra" for a real challenge as well ;D

Excellent collection, however a bit complex for a beginner - at least for me. Sometimes the diagrams can be difficult to follow. But I am very sure once I understand them it will be super exciting to make all those models in this book!

We are enjoying the book. The projects are different and easy to recreate within a few tries. At some places though, the instructions are not very clear and requires quite a bit of trial and error before you understand what the Author is saying.

Awesomeness. Great origami book for intermediate folders, but not experts. Some technical aspects and history. Great book to help one improve upon their skills. 👍

This is one of the most valuable Origami Books that I have.Start at the beginning and fold every model that is presented even if you don’t think is of interest and you will be so well educated and experienced you will wonder why you didn’t get the book sooner!

This is not a beginners book by any means whatsoever. We got this for our 3rd grade son in hopes that he could learn the basics first then progress in difficulty. I am 33 years old and have a master's degree as well as many years of experience in the medical field. I say this because I feel as if I have a slightly higher than average intelligence and this book even had me throwing my hands up in the air. Frustrating experience at best. Unfortunately, we will not purchase from this seller again. We have moved on to buying our instructional books and guides from Barnes and Noble where we can finger thru the pages first.

Ho comprato questo libro perché mi avevano detto fosse il migliore ad ogni livello. Alcuni progetti sono davvero belli, ma glii schemi sono un po' complicati da seguire: hanno un andamento "a spirale" e le indicazioni sono spesso lacunose e a volte, volutamente vaghe forse per stimolare il pensiero del piegatore. Ma non siamo tutti origamisti di professione, per me è un hobby piacevole, intellettualmente interessante, ma se diventa un vero e proprio rompicapo...viene voglia di lasciar perdere,e poi ci sono un sacco di pagine dedicate alla geometria con tanto di formule, forse anche per la lingua (il testo è in inglese) non tanto comprensibili. Infine le foto in bianco e nero dei progetti finiti non aiutano a capire bene com'è il risultato finale. In conclusione per fortuna l'ho comprato usato a 15 euro, percui va bene così ma spenderne 22 (o anche di più) non ne vale la pena, a meno di non essere davvero ad un livello avanzato..

Wie auch in den anderen Rezensionen zu lesen, ist es kein Buch für Anfänger.Wirft man aber nicht gleich alles in die Ecke und versucht ein wenig, ist alles zu schaffen.Manche Abbildungen lassen fragen offen.Es ist von ganz einfach bis knifflig aus allen Bereichen des Origami etwas dabei.Super Preis-Leitstungs-Verhältnis.Ich empfehle es jedem der ernsthaft an Origami interessiert ist.
