Spotzero by Milton Plastic Flat Mop (Aqua Green)

The media could not be loaded.  When mopping the floor you need to look at several factors like a strong mop bucket to hold water, a good sturdy mop handle, a mop head that can clean different types of surface, a mop head that does not disintegrate quickly and loose its threads, a good absorbent, a good way to squeeze the mop head to remove excess water, an easy way to squeeze mop, a well grip handle, easily movable bucket.Milton's SpotZero has all the above feature except the wheel.MRP at Rs.2499, bought this for Rs.1699.The mop handle is made of stainless steel and is strong. The handle is 3 parts which joins together using a screw type mechanism shown in the picture. If you attach 2 pieces you can use it as a smaller one. The handle of the mop has rubberized enclosure so you will have a good grip and since it's a bit soft it's easy on your hands.The mop head is a flat type with a microfiber cloth. No intro required for microfiber as it's the best in class for cleaning any surface. No need to worry about loose threads that comes out from a round head mop or worry about the hardening that happens in a sponge butterfly mop.The microfiber is easy to change and refills can be bought on amazon.The mop snaps to 180 degrees in the position to insert the mop in the wet slot and dry slot. The mop head can also flip 90 degree flat and sideways shown in the picture so you can easily clean the lower side walls (pictures attached if am confusing). You can use the mop for cleaning windows too, both wet and dry as its a microfiber head.The mop bucket is the Unique Selling Point. The bucket is strudy unlike other cheaper brands of flat mop available in amazon.The bucket has 2 separate compartments, wet one which holds water and other dry compartment which should be kept empty where mop will be squeezed dry.The bucket head or enclosure has 2 slits (perfectly cut) marked wet and dry where you will run through the mops for wetting and drying. The bottom of the mop bucket has 2 rubberized corks for emptying the water after use.The handle of the bucket is also well designed, you can see the handle grip on wet side of the compartment which allows for easy carrying with balance.1. Fill the wet compartment with water.2. Assuming the compartment lid attachment is fixed, you dip the mop vertically through the wet slit and move up and down so the microfiber mop head is wet for cleaning and remains the same for long time without disintegrating.3. Clean the floor until you feel the mops head needs to be cleaned.4. Run the mop vertically through the dry compartment slit 2 to 3 times which actually squeezes the microfiber and makes it 80% dry and remove all dirt and stains.5. Repeat the process from 2. Wet the mop, clean, dry squeeze clean the mop, wet again, clean. Simple and very innovative method.The bucket does not have wheel but maybe this was on purpose as bucket should not move while squeezing the mop in the bucket. In my perspective if you try this once and then you will never go back to other mopping methods if you are okay with the disadvantages listed at the end.The cons i find is sometimes the mop head turns to some degree even when we place the mop horizontally at 90 degree making it uncomfortable, once you try few days you will overcome. And sometimes instead of dirt like hair sticking to the mop head, the dirt gets pushed which is usually the case of flat mops unless you are placing the mop head directly on the dirt. Also be a bit careful with the mop pad, if you are removing the pads to clean ensure you do it carefully and don't tear it. The mop pad sticking mechanism could have been better Reducing 1 star for this.If you are deciding between a butterfly sponge mop vs a rotating bucket thread mop vs normal flat mop vs 2 compartment flat-mop and bucket, here are the advantages you get with this over others1. The mop head never becomes heavy as its a flat microfiber and is squeezed. In a round thread mop though you spin in a bucket the mop is still heavy as it's not really squeezed.2. No pulling handles or twisting handles to squeeze water like butterfly sponge mops where you need to pull a handle to squeeze the sponge pads and in some reputed brands it's still tough. In this mop all you need is to move the mop up and down through the dry compartment slit.3. No need to worry about loose strands falling off like the round mop or hardening of mop head when dry like sponge mop. Microfiber method is the best known method for attracting dirt.4. Multipurpose mop, since it's a microfiber you can use the mop to clean glass windows dry as microfiber attracts dry dirt too. Later you can remove the microfiber head and clean under the tap if required.The disadvantage is1. For bigger particles like hair, usually all flat mops tends to push the bigger dirt as the mechanism is sliding unlike round spin mop whose mope head tangle and capture fallen hair. But fine dirt particles are well cleaned with flat mop than other mops. This can be an advantage too as the hair and bigger dirt will not tangle or get stuck to mop head like spin mops where it it becomes difficult to remove hair from the spin mop head.2. Though there are 2 compartments like the spinbucket mop the water still gets dirty when you rinse the mop. There are other mop buckets brands which separates clean and dirty water from but they are not as durable as milton.3. Need care while removing the flat mop pads

So, iv been using this product for more than a month myself during the lock down. In principle, in my opinion, this Flat Mop design is a far more superior design than the spin mops. It cleans better, you can even skip vacuum/jhadu before using this mop. But, the main issue is that the microfiber tears from the main spot which holds it to the mop head and once this happens, you just can't use this mop. I mean, iv just used the mop for a little more than a month, and both the microfibers have torn twice, as I once got them stitched by a local tailor.I don't know if this is an issue with this kind of model, irrespective of the brand or is it just this brand. Can't comment on that.Apart from that, another small issue is that the 'WASH' & 'DRY' isn't really visible that clearly on the bucket, but that's not really a deal breaker.But, either if someone who has bought this product or the company itself can provide me with a solution to the microfiber tearing up even so often and making the mop unusable it would be great, as this product genuinely is a better product than the spin ones.SPOTZERO, send me some microfiber pads, as I didn't spend money on your product just to use it for a month or spend on new microfiber every month.

1. the mechanism is of a superb engineering. the best technique of cleaning the floor as compared to the circular mop. As hare you do a straight pull an push. But in circular mop you aid to dracincalor motion which is tiring after a 2BHK cleaning. But forthis it is easy and a 20 min work.2. the stick and the mop is very loosely connected. So every time you have to hold the mop while dipping in water,otherwise the stick and mop will come out separate. this is a very in convenient thing.3. the stick is of very loosely connected and of a bit low quality. And lots of Sharp edges are there. I had literally a cut on my palm with an edge.4. But the vote is for the mopping and cleaning mechanism. Which cleans the floor effortlesly without brooming before wet mopping.

This product is a total failure. Initially, I had issues with the mop handle, for which I sent a mail to the company regarding the same. They sorted the thing quickly and sent me another handle. Later the microfiber cloth worn out, maybe after 3-4 use. I started using the refill sent with the product. Even the other one wore out in 3-4 uses. I had mailed them regarding the same, and I received a reply stating there is no availability of the microfiber cloth & the condition of the cloth may have been due to improper installation. I was like really ? Improper installation ? that to twice? Its not even six months hardly using this product if one needs to but the refill every 6months what's the point in buying it. I think The product is a total failure, its parts are to weak. I would request customers kindly think before one buy this thing. Don't waste your money on this so-called flat mop.Note: The one star is just for submitting this review, As review never submits without rating .

Initially very happy with the product but soon realized its shortcoming. The top plate which clips on to the bucket has two slots through which the mop is inserted to squeeze out the water. Because the clips are moulded in plastic, they no longer hold as the plastic gives way within a week or so. Each time you try to squeeze the mop by pulling it out through the slop, the entire plate comes out with the result that the mop pad is not squeezed. Very irritating. Now I have to place my foot over the plate while pulling the mop out.

Bought this product a month ago. It was working well in the beginning but somehow got detached from the bottom. Tried to contact the customer care, since it is still under warranty, they just don't attend the customer, every time I called they would only say, there is no executive available for service please wait on the line. I have waited for hours without a response. Do think before buying a product without great customer service.

Updated....... it’s garbage!It’s rusted after 3 uses, the pad is broke on the side that needs to go into the skimmer, and the rubber pieces to hold the water in don’t stay In very well. I was mopping and barley nudged it and it fell out spilling water everywhere and it didn’t stop till I could plug it. Not worth the hassle I should have spent the 10 extra on the one I truly wanted. Lesson learned on the gamble. Being returned nowI typically base my purchases off reviews. You always have to out way the fake ones or the ones with no reviews. So I took a gamble on this one with no reviews. I will be your guide in the direction if it will fit your needs.I looked at a couple and it was a toss up. This one I picked first the color is my favorite and two it was 10$ cheaper.I run a cleaning business and needed something that wasn’t so hard on my hands. After using it now twice I love it! The reason for the 4 stars is due to the one the handle direction on bucket and handle length on mop. Based off the other one 10 more I noticed the handle was placed in the other direction (possibly a rights thing). When you used the handle with water in it tips sideways as the water is in one side and the dry side doesn’t get much water to balance the weight. It makes for a bit more awkward balancing act but it still functions so I’m happy for that. For the handle length, I’m 5’5 and I wish it had one extra pole added. I feel myself having to use my back more. So if I could order an extension I would about love it even more.Overall I love it and was worth it for me!
