Sturdy, thick, & tough. Freezer safe!
Had a hard time finding freezer safe, flat, reusable zip-lock bags. These tick the boxes.I like that they're somethat stiff-- I use freezer bags to freeze stocks, sauces, & soups, and if you've ever done that, you know that if they're not perfectly flat when you put them in the freezer, they can freeze with wrinkles and are sort of a mess. The sturdy walls of this bag prevent that. The zip on it is not the easiest. It needs to be perfectly lined up, and it doesn't *feel* very secure. However, I haven't had one leak yet, at least once it was fully zipped, so the reality is better than the feel. The exterior of the bag has a matte finish, which is good for me because I use washi or masking-type tape to lable the contents, and it adheres better than on a smooth surface.I've only handwashed these. They will pick up smells. Usually, I can get rid of the smell by filling it with diluted vinegar after I washed it (about 3 parts water-1 part vinegar), letting it sit for a while, then rinsing & air drying it. They're not particularly hard to handwash, using a washcloth rather than a sponge to clean along the interior seams.Overall, I'm happy with them. They are a little expensive, considering I'd reallly like to have about 30 of them because at any point, I have at least 15 bags in my freezer. So, my one recommendation would be to offer a discount for more than one or two packages.

Perfect Sandwich Bag Replacement!
I always try to find ways to reduce my level of waste, whether it be reusable grocery bags, produces bags, or metal straws. These are the perfect way to cut back on ziploc baggies! Even though I typically waste and reuse those too, these are much more durable and will definitely last longer than the ones meant for one-time use. They are sturdy, easy to seal (another difference from your average baggies), and easy to wash! I just rinse them out and wipe them with a sponge and then set them out to dry! The colors are cute too because I can match my snacks with them! Carrot sticks? Those go in the orange one! Tomatoes? Red one! Definitely would recommend these to a friend.

They don't feel cheap!
Ok, the smell. Yeah they come really smelly, like plastic chemical smell. I got rid of it really easy. Wash a few times then dry out with a towel. Put like half a slice of bread in each one and close it up and leave them for a day or so. Next, remove bread and put some crumpled paper in each one (just to keep them in open position). Place them on a tray and leave outside in the sun all day or even 2 days. The power of the sun and fresh air will get out any remaining odor. Now wash again and and they are ready to go. Seems like a lot of bother but they are awesome bags and worth it. I have 2 kids and these are always filled with snacks and in my purse. I have never had any leaks and all sorts of wet and weird food goes in them and gets jostled and flopped about all day in my purse. Great purchase!

Durable
Great product, although I received one with a manufacturer defect. Overall, durable and you can clean them in the dishwasher but I wash them by hand. Only complaint is that the zip top is very hard to separate, especially when cold/frozen. I use them in the freezer often, so it is difficult to open when chilled.

Love these, despite the hard zip closure issue, which is solvable!
I've had a lot of ReZip products for about a year. They are all still going strong (except one, which I placed on a too-warm burner). They are not perfect, but they are perfect (!) if one just readjusts one's expectations a little. Yes, the zipper does harden, and become harder to close over time, if you do not "condition" the zipper part occasionally. Detergents, dry air and heat harden the zipper part. The solution to this is to condition that area with mineral oil or olive oil, or, my favorite, liquid food-grade silicone. You may, or may not, be O.K. with food-grade silicone, but, it works for me. (Trident has a product that scuba divers use.) We all use spray silicone, or WD 40 in hundreds of applications to get things in our house lubricated--the same, on a food-grade level, is true of ReZip bags. Think of them as a squeaky hinge that needs occasional lubricating, food-grade style. So, if you live in a dry climate and/or use these a lot and use detergent to wash them, you need to lubricate the zipper part, somehow...with whatever (oil, silicone) works for you. Do that, and these will really last. And, they do stain, some. Just get used to it! Know that you washed these out with soap, and dried them, thus eliminating harmful bacteria. Blueberries, carrots, squash...and others (Christmas posole?) will stain them, somewhat. It's unavoidable, given today's technology with developing some sort of "plastic" that isn't so harmful to the planet. So, they are not perfect. If you want perfect, buy hundreds of single-use Ziplock bags that close great (once) and have crystal-clear viewing, once. Forget the poor whale, who had 80 pounds of plastic film in its stomach upon its death, and go on using single-use plastic film. Alternatively, condition your zippers, from time-to-time, and readjust your expectations a little. Whales, and other sea life might deserve your efforts, I think. (And, no, I have no connection with ReZip, financial or otherwise. I just think, that, with a little work and critical thinking about "staining" vs. ""unclean", these ReZip bags are a reasonable alternative to single-use plastic film.) Anyway, ReZip works for me, and I am glad to put in the extra effort (until technology gives me a better solution) to avoid single-use plastic film.

Worth it
I'm a big fan of these bags. They're durable, they seal well, they're a good size for snacks and sandwiches. Other reviewers have complained about them being too hard to zip... that's a bit of an exaggeration. I might not trust a toddler to do it, but most people should be fine. Washing out bags is an adjustment if you're used to throwing them out, but these are pretty easy to turn inside out, scrub, and dry. I've been using mine for a while and they haven't retained any weird colors or smells, which is more than I can say for most tupperware. They might not hold up forever - but definitely long enough to make up the same cost in ziplocks, not to mention the whole environmental side of things.

Too difficult to seal
These are very sturdy, but are often too difficult to seal even when pressing on the counter top

Excelente calidad
Me encantaron!

Off brand
These work good but NOT the rezip brand. They came in the right colours but did not have the rezip logo on them.
