Purchased these to replace one-time use disposable straws, including paper. Paper straws disintegrate too quickly, especially in warm drinks, and you get a coating of paper fibers all over your tongue. Plastic is bad for the environment; recycling facilities cannot recycle them due to their size. These reusable plastic straws, although a bit wide, holds up great in the dishwasher and rinses off easy after use. Fits in drink containers with wide openings, not "sippy cup" type lids. Keep in mind that the straws are quite rigid for those who like to bite or grip their straws. Good buy and would recommend to others looking for alternative straw solutions.

If they came with a cleaning pipe that was long enough then it would be so much less time consuming to hand clean all of these. Otherwise they are nice to use.
