HiyaHiyaKnitSaver Interchangeable Cable with Lifeline Holes, 32", Size Small

This cable length is the one I go to over and over for most of my knitting. I have owned 2 of these particular cables for about 4 years with no kinks, breakage or other problems. I use dental floss for lifelines without any trouble and have been happy when it kept me from frogging my work. Several have dinged this product for not having bigger lifeline holes, but how big could that hole be in a needle of this size? How many comparable brands even have lifeline holes? These features contribute to why I think this is a high quality product and why I am very happy with my HiyaHiya interchangeables. I note that for those worried about the screw tips coming undone mid-project, the rubber grips really do help, or as I do, you can tighten them up that last bit by inserting a T-pin in the lifeline hole and twisting gently to make the connection extra snug.

Love the lifeline option, but the hole could be bigger. I use a beading needle and lace weight yarn to make it work. For a long row, it's great to have these cables do the work for you.

These interchangeable cables and needles make so much sense. Instead of 10 pair of 30 inch cable needles I can swap out points and cables and keep my knitting basket under control.

Love this interchangeable system. Bought spare cables because I use them so much and often times have multiple projects going at once. They are flexible, the cable doesn't seem to get kinks or be overly coiled. When tightened properly onto the needle tips, joins are smooth and knitting glides along.

Love the Hiya needles and cables that twist! I use these for most projects now, very nice for larger projects, especially for shawls and wraps that can have a larger number of stitches to work with. I have tried most brands and materials- I find myself using mostly my Hiya needles because of the trouble free joins that twist!

These cables are ORDINARY HiyaHiya cables. There is indeed a hole in the metallic part, but so small that it can only be used with sewing thread, not with crochet cotton thread, for instance, although it makes a much better lifeline. They shouldn't be sold as "knit saver" cables and are much too expensive for ordinary cables.

Hiya Hiya make the best and most versatile cords for knitting that i have seen. the best part, they are extrordinarily durable, and can be interchanged.
