My dad is the car expert in our family so when my car died, I trusted him judgement on where to buy a used car and what kind to get. As always, he was spot on and the car has been amazing. What wasn’t amazing was the cigarette smell that permeated the whole vehicle when I first purchased it. I have a case of asthma that really only reacts strongly to one thing, cigarette smoke. I can do animal hair, pollen, even cold weather without really needing to use the inhaler. Cigarette smoke is really the only thing that makes it so bad that I HAVE to use the inhaler or i’m in physical pain. My co-worker suggested I use an air purifier as she has one for her car for her pollen allergies and it is the only thing that makes driving bearable for her in the spring and fall. I was optimistic but hesitant when I purchased this and did not believe it would be a magic cure that would instantaneously remove all of the cigarette smoke. Which is important because it wasn’t instantaneous. It took a couple of weeks for the smell to be mostly if not completely gone but it is gone and gone for good. While cigarette smoke is no longer a problem, I find that it helps remove the smell of food if someone is eating in the car. The charging ports are very convenient as it means I don’t have to remove it to charge my sister’s phone which always seems to be dying as I am driving her somewhere. It is definitely a worthwhile purchase!

It’s a bit large but worth it , did the job . Haven’t used it in awhile and noticed the odor returned so use it periodically to snuff out the bad smells . I use in my car . Update : Odor is gone .

This little ionizer is amazing! It works within seconds. I got it because this is my first car with an all leather dark interior, and on warm sunny days it looked like a dust storm spiraling around inside. I just plug in the ionizer, and after a few minutes, wipe up the dust that got attracted to all the surfaces. Now don’t get confused. This is an ionizer only. It doesn’t freshen then air or get rid of smells. It charges the air around it with negative ions, causing any particles in the air to be attracted to any nearby grounded surfaces. Which means its perfect for clearing out dust, allergens, or any particle from the air. But, you have to wipe the relocated “dust” off of you surfaces to get ride of it. Think static electricity. And no, this is not an ozone generator, that would actually kill you. The electrodes will gradually get used up, releasing minute trace amount of ozone each time the unit discharges. But as their certification shows, the trace amounts of ozone discharged are far below scale. They are just legally required to disclose that information. If you’re just using it to get rid of smells, it doesn’t work that way. You should really just fabreeze all the cloth interior & air out the car. They do actually send a very nice air freshener along with the ionizer, though.

UPDATED REVIEW: Just a week after my return window closed, the unit stopped running altogether. Noticed some browning of the plastic around the motor, and it no longer runs at all. What a piece of junk. If you’re looking for an ionizer, save yourself a headache and buy a different one. This one is complete junk. I contacted customer service after using this for a while and not noticing much difference. I got a rather generic reply telling me how I can “see it work”. The problem is, it doesn’t seem to do much in practical application. I don’t smoke, and while my truck is very well-kept and doesn’t have any smells, the ionizer doesn’t give off the same “smell” as other ones that I have used in the past both in vehicles and at home that really indicate that it’s working. The unit itself is rather large, the blue LED is slightly obnoxious in brightness, and the unit doesn’t seem to ionize much air at all. I would try a different unit if I were you, pass on this one.

This little gizmo is just okay. It certainly does work, however it takes quite a while. I recommend plugging it in overnight, as it doesn’t seem to have a lasting impact on battery performance. The little doodads that come with it are a plus for sure. The charging cable with three options is fantastic to have in the Vehicle. I haven’t found where to re order the air freshener that came with it as well. It does not last very long but does leave a nice clean scent.

Pros: Comes nicely packaged and plastic wrapped. Quality feels nice, metal housing instead of plastic like other ones. Air purifier does work, reduces smog, dust, and odor. 3.0 charging ports x2 much faster. Blue light adds nice ambient lighting to the car at night, not to bright where it's distracting. Comes with nice lemon scented air freshener. Cons: Slightly higher price point than other purifiers, but it's justified considering this one has 3.0 chargers. Slight buzzing noise from the purifier when in complete silence, but if you have the car on or music running you won't notice it anyway. 3 in 1 charger very cool idea can charge any type of phone, but much too short for practical use. Overall very happy with the product. Great customer service as well, had an issue with one of the charging ports and they sent me a replacement right away for free. If you don't have a brand new modern car with built in carbon filtration system, this is the next best thing. Air feels much cleaner. I recommend it for anyone. Buy it!

I purchased this purifier and brought it in my carry-on bag (TSA had no problems with it), and used it on a car I bought and drove 3,000 miles home. I wasn't quite sure how clean the inside of the car was (it was 19 years old), and I wasn't too sure how well this would work. Well, within the first 100 miles, this little purifier had already paid itself off. While the car was clean, it had a musty tinge to it. After running for just over an hour, the purifier took away any foreign odors, and even eliminated the odor from the air freshener I bought! I had brought a car charger just in case, but this little thing charged my iPhone XS perfectly fine. The bonus air freshener and cable were a delight as well. The purifier basically ran for 4 days straight without a hitch, and is still working great in my other vehicles at home. Overall a great product, and I highly recommend it.
