The Art of Mackin' Paperback – February 1, 2009

This book was very informative and a great read!

I initially bought this book for a friend who believes he has "game". This book was meant for entertainment purposes only. For the most part, this book has served as just that, however I must note the reading was indeed interesting and the content was not only entertaining but informative. It gave insight into what SOME brothas may believe are valid rules to picking up women. As a woman who is educated and finally independent, I would more than likely classify myself per the book as "top notch" with a bit of "round the way girl" qualities. In all honesty, if a man like Tariq 'K-Flex" Nasheed approached me, I would be completely turned off. His whole presentation is WRONG and unappealing. The photos on the book depict him wearing gaudy jewelry, a cheap version of a Steve Harvey suit and a walking cane (pimp stereotype anyone). The women on the cover of the book look as if they are low budget video models; more than likely the prototypes of the women he is gearing this book towards. In some circuits, this brotha would be "DA MAN" to chicken heads, and hood rats alike, but to a woman like me, he is a step above Flava Flav. The most humorous part of this "instructional guide" would be the section encompassing the rebuttals for "when a woman says no". If a woman chooses to have sex with you, I can assure you it is not because you "macked her out of the drawers". For the record fellas, a woman knows IF she is going to have sex with you, within the first few minutes of meeting you. No verbal skills, or "mack" soliloquy needed. I will give "K-Flex" some credit, he correctly applied the Freudian theory of oral fixations to behavior exhibited in women that should be a red flag. There is some issue with his stereotyping of what he deems as his "perfect woman" (the looks of Halle Berry, good hair, big breasts etc.) There is no reference to personality, morality or intellectual astuteness. Then again, a brotha who refers to himself as "K-Flex", is probably less concerned with academic smarts than he is with the BOOTY. If you are a regular at the neighborhood club, you reflect the negative values of very urban areas (read GHETTOS) and you are not looking for a stable relationship with a REAL woman (a woman who is NOT materialistic, ghetto fabulous, non-educated, ALIZE sipping, "HEY THAT'S MY JAM" screaming, I get my hair and nails did, no goal having, etc.) then this book will definitely assist you. For those who are not seeking the aforementioned, this book will serve as a hilarious offering to a monotonous work day. I routinely pull this book out for laughs during a stressful day!

I have been a firm believer in Tariq Nasheed's methods for a few years now. After getting used by a woman I was searching for someone to guide me and teach me how to prevent this from ever happening again. I was upset and pissed off. Out of no where comes [...]. I then went to my book store and bought "The Mack Within". In about 3 months I had a friends (hot) wife trying to get me and her friend into the bedroom for a threesome! I was sold. I then purchased "Play or be played" This was supposed to be a book for women, but I found the psychological profile of women to be very helpful and informative...A book worth getting. Now if a 300 pound plus white guy can pull top grade women anyone can benefit from Tariq. I have women buyin me drinks when I go out, i get complimented on my appearance when i go out, I even have passed the knowledge onto my friends who have seen results. As far as the "Art of Mackin" it is the foundation for all of the other game tariq has given us. You need fundamentals to start with. This isn't your dads pull out chairs and open doors...This is your dad's book if he was a playa! this book tells you in detail how to pick up women at clubs, how to get them out of the club, back to your place and how to over come objections they may have about having sex with you. It even gives you a sexual technique or two. This is something i wished I had had in highschool. In conclusion if you are sick of women walking on you and you want them to chase you and compliment you....you need Tariq Nasheed

I am a hetero white female and got this book out of curiosity. I think Tariq is honest and realistic about certain things. It helped me to understand certain behavior patterns in other people, as well as my own responses. The fact that these are uncomfortable truths doesn't make them any less true. We can still choose how we will deal with it. Most of the time, people do these things unconsciously anyway, so we might as well reveal the workings. That's why I gave the book four stars.However… I DO NOT endorse Tariq's entire attitude or methodology, even though it clearly works for him. It's very ghetto. He objectifies women to the point of referring to them as "females" or "the female" throughout. But that's how a lot of men think, so deal with it. If you're in a ghetto, or dealing with people who follow ghetto codes, this book helps to make sense out of that.However, there are human codes beyond the law of the jungle that Tariq does not acknowledge. Many of the examples in this book are so over-the-top domineering that I for one would call the cops if anyone tried that crap on me. It is shocking to think that there might be whole swaths of women out there on whom these techniques not only work, but are actually REQUIRED. They might work if the guy had a lot of charm, but the videos that I can see online don't look that charming. A lot of these are the same tactics used by aggressive street criminals and con artists, so they're worth noting even if you never hang out in clubs yourself. Later, you will start to see how even top politicians use these same tactics every minute of the day.I've been the target of approaches like these and it's awful. It is both wearisome and depressing to be subjected to a relentless barrage of controlling conversation, surprise touching, dominating body language, and other such subterfuges. It's completely dehumanizing. I feel sorry for the people who think mastering these tricks is the pinnacle of success, and even sorrier for their targets, who've been treated like crap all their lives to the point they respond positively to these strong-arm verbal tactics.

Good...great stuff! This book make me privy to a lot of the inner workings of the "Mack" game. A must read.

Classic book which started the whole seduction community ,this book is clean and crisp without any of the bs with pua , no deceit or mind / magic tricks just cold hard game , great buy
