can i use with a MacBook pro?

if a macbok pro has a 3.5mm headset socket, then I'd have thought it would work, it needs to be the socket that accepts the mic in signal as well as the L + R out is there a logo on the laptop, does it just have headphones, or does is show the headphones and the mic boom?

Does it work with a mobile phone, ipad and macbook pro 2011?

I use it with an iphone 6- and it works fine. I haven't tried it with anything else-sorry!

Does it have mute button on the cord?

No, the Sennheiser PC 5 headset does not have any controls at all. I have bought several of them to use with mobile phones, and none of them have volume controls or mute switches.

could this be used with a cordless phone please?

If the cordless phone has a 3.5mm jack socket (tip-ring-ring-sleeve) then I imagine it could - but I suspect that would be a bit unusual.
