We placed our order and received our caviar sampler package very quickly. The decorative shipping box had the word “caviar” prominently displayed, so your delivery driver will likely know the contents of this shipment, if that sort of thing matters to you.The caviar was shipped with several ice packs which ensured it arrived cool and fresh. We stored the caviar in the refrigerator’s crisper drawer at around 33F for a few days. The caviar came in 4 small glass jars. I do have to say, the contours and design of these little containers did make it especially difficult to get the small black sticky eggs out of the jars. That said, the caviar was very fresh, the roe were firm yet still delicate, and most importantly the flavor was great. Other reviewers have mentioned that their caviar was on the salty side. Ours was not. We found the flavor quite similar across the 3 black species, that is: mildly earthy, nutty, with a bold finish. The salmon roe were our least favorite, as they did have a more pronounced fishy flavor. The sturgeon was our favorite, though all three of the black species were 99% similar in flavor. Overall we felt this was a great purchase. If you are looking for an inexpensive way to give caviar a try in the comfort of your own home, we say, go for it! This sampler is a perfect introduction to caviar, one that is both well-priced and good quality. Don’t forget to buy a little dry champagne! Cheers!

Nothing Special

Absolutely delicious! I’m obsessed with caviar and this did not disappoint. Arrived cold and packaged well. I opened and enjoyed immediately. I think everyone would appreciate this variety set from the newbies to veteran caviar lovers. Excellent choice. Will purchase again.

All of the caviar aside from the salmon have a weird jelly-like texture to them. They clump together and have a thick almost slime and do not have the customary burst against the teeth that caviar usually has. The mouthfeel and texture is all wrong.

This was our first try of caviar. The sample allowed us to taste different ones. The taste was fresh, letting us do a real comparison. The packaging and delivery allowed us to keep it fresh until we ate it.

I liked the packaging and the detail this company takes to make a visually appealing product, unfortunately i did not enjoy the taste or texture of any of the caviars. Admittedly, this is my first experience with tasting caviar, so i knew there was a chance id not like it. I still ordered the product at my own discretion to give it a try. Im confident this company pleases far more customers than it dissapoints. Just wasnt for me.

Two of them were extremely salty but overall they are a good deal for the price.
