Q: Does this clock dim at night?

Hello,You can use the Screen Saver mode to decrease distraction at night. The brightness of the display is decreased to the low level while you sleep, however, you will still see a time on LaMetric once you wake up at night. Also LaMetric Time adjusts the screen brightness automatically depending on current light conditions using the built-in ambient light sensor.

Q: Is the display supposed to be blurry or did I receive a defective unit? It looks like it's out of focus or something.

The display does have a blurry look to it. That is how the LED lighting works as the messages are displayed. Still love it though!

Q: if i want to use it a work does have to connect to the companies wifi?

Some companies (like mine) explicitly prohibit hotpot usage. Thankfully, they provide a corporate WiFi solution. If you want to use this at work, see if there is a client WiFi you can connect to. Always check with your I.T. policies too as to what kind of connected devices you are allowed to have in the workplace.
