Qualatex Balloon Arch Kit

I bought this Arch kit to use for my daughters first birthday which was at a park pavilion. The concept is great, it is easy to put together and it looks nice once the balloons are added, that is why I gave it 2 stars......My review is based on my experience using this outdoors.The drawbacks - the material used to make the rods is WAY too thin. I assembled the arch a couple days before to do a test run; had it up for less than an hour and in that time, the rods were already showing stress fractures from where they were joined with the connectors. The clamps provided are plastic and have an extremely narrow surface area to where they will be attached to the table, this in turn does not provide a very stable base for the arch. As many others have said, this kit is not stable and once you add the balloons the weight causes it to wobble back and forth.I used it the day of the party and unfortunately it was VERY windy - the rods bent where they were attached to the connectors and the clamps did not do a good job of holding the arch to the table. Had to use some duct tape to hold all the pieces together and also to get it to stay on the table. My husband used some line to attach the arch to a cross beam on the pavilion to try to stabilize it, this helped some but every time a strong gust would come, I crossed my fingers and hoped that the poles would not end up snapping.I bought this based on other reviews stating that they had used this kit outdoors with no problems. Unfortunately this was not the case on my part. In my opinion, this product is best for INDOOR functions - preferably with a table against a wall and where the risk of this being bumped is minimal. I wanted to love this, as I had planned to use it for future functions but after the first use I had to throw it away.

I purchased this balloon arch to help bring together all the decorations at my daughters birthday party. This was my first time doing a balloon arch. I watched some YouTubes and I thought it would be difficult but it ended up being very manageable. I blew up all the balloons the night before and put the arch together in my kitchen (clamping down in my kitchen island). It took some trial and error for me to figure out the best way to intertwine the balloons but once you get the hang of it, it goes pretty fast. It took me about 15 minutes to put together...the hardest part was blowing the balloons which took about 45 minutes. The next morning I moved the balloons and arch to a table outside. I will say that moving it was a little challenging (2 person job) as some of the balloons popped off but I was able to reassemble once it was clamped down at the final destination. There are little pieces with the clamp so make sure you store them in a safe spot to use the next time around. Overall good purchase and I am excited that I can use it over and over and hopefully get a little better each time.

An inexpensive way to make a beautiful display. I bought this to make a balloon arch for my daughter's baby shower. We used a 6' wide table and the arch was perfect! I am not sure how sturdy this would be outside in the wind, but it works great indoors.I bought 5" balloons (as they recommend) in three different shades and alternated the colors. The pole goes together like tent poles and collapses just as easy. First attach the arch to the table. Then, to attach the balloons, you simply tie the balloons together in pairs; then take two pairs on each side of the pole and twist two balloons (from opposite pairs) around eachother. Attaching the balloons to the pole goes super quick. To remove the balloons quickly, take the pole out of the clamps, straighten it out, and then just push the balloons to slide them off the pole!!

Purchased this because I am in the process of becoming event decorator. The assembly was behind easy to put together. Used for the first time last weekend for the first lady of the church birthday party. I was very nervous but it came out great. I use 12 inch balloons since I was asked to do this two days before the event, and didn't but have a chance to but 5in in the colors they needed. I also forgot to count how many balloons in total I used. I pumped each balloon 17 times with a hand pump. I do agreed that 5 inch balloons would work best and probably be easier to handle. One thing I did find with using 12in balloons was that because the balloons were relatively bigger in size there were some gaps where the pole showed. I would suggest going with the 5 inch balloons as directed.

I had a different idea. Instead of using one table, I've attached it to two separate tables to make it a walk through entrance. It was super cute & I've had a lot of compliments!The only reason I give it 4 stars is because it turned out to be a windy day and it would not hold. It was perfect before the wind picked up. Then I had to tie a string to the tent to keep it from flying away. This is perfect for indoors. If you use it outdoors, be sure it's a good day!

I’m not sure if it’s just me but I had a hard time with this kit. It kept coming off the table. I used it at an outdoor birthday party so maybe that had something to do with it. I had planned on using it often at my kids parties, holidays, etc. but do the difficulties of assembling it and with it popping off the table I’ve never used it again.

Sturdy and great for a first timer! It's definitely worth it as far as I can see; I have yet to actually use it for my event. I did put it together and attached to a table and it was not flimsy at all, but I believe the for outdoors you will need something to secure it even more for any wind. I'm not taking chances for my event, so I'm going to buy something to do just that. I know how to make one but I'm short for time. So if you know how to make one I honestly can say either choice is great. But if I can, I will update you after my event. For now I'm very happy!

Clamps are plastic and bend under stress. Upgrade the clamps and it will be a great product
