A detachable panel of faux fur trims the collar of a hooded, water-repellent cold weather coat. Cushioned with a polyester fill insulation, this coat a drawstring and plush fleece lining in the attached hood. Front welt chest pockets and dual entry front patch pockets provide plenty of space for your essentials. The front zip closure is covered by a storm placket with hidden snaps.

Warm but Noisy Coat
I have been mostly satisfied with the stuff I have bought from Luxury Lane over the years. Price and quality is exactly at the level I am looking for. That being said - I will point out it seems they size their men's "XL"(extra-large) coats/jackets to fit people who are over 6 feet tall. I am not that tall but I have bought 3 coats from them(in the same size) and all fit me like I am 4 inches too short(and I am about 5 ft. 10 in. tall, in relatively good shape[size 36-38 pants]). It is not a big problem but should be noted.I have been looking for an "affordable" but not "cheaply made" lightweight Winter jacket recently. I have a size "L"(large) jacket(not from Amazon), but it limits what I can wear under it to a long sleeved shirt(everything else - I have to walk around with an open zipper). It fits into small spaces but does not offer the level of warmth and it lacks a hood for Winter precipitation(freezing rain or snow). From the picture it is difficult to tell how big this(BGSD "Orion") coat(not really a jacket as one reviewer described) is. The "XL" is not compact or slim in size. It is not exactly what I was looking for but for the price it is alright. Key points:1. The hood is not removable and does not fold flat behind your head.2. There are many pockets(at least 6 on the outside and 1 inside).3. The fur on the hood is very long, too long. It can be irritating. It is removable.(I removed it)4. Outer material is not annoying to touch, but when you move around it sounds like you are wearing plastic sheeting or have plastic bags in your pockets(especially when it's cold[below freezing] outside). This feature must be what gives it "wind proof" and "water resistant" properties, but people(or animals) will likely notice the sounds.5. The bottom of the coat is very wide, when viewed from the side. There is no visible way to "adjust" the width. Because of this if you only wear a long sleeve shirt underneath the cold air will enter through the bottom.6. "Layering" is possible/necessary with this coat(when it is freezing outside). I usually wear a shirt, a long sleeve shirt(sweater), and a fleece sweat shirt("under" jacket) or vest with this coat. This is why I bought the "XL" and not just "L".7. The "loden" color is basically "just green"(not grey-green nor blue-green neither is it faded brown).
