ARIAT mens Groundbreaker Wide Square Toe Work Boot

Great boots. Super comfortable. Had to try and return three pairs before I got the perfect size. But well worth the effort! Great for work and wherever else you are.

Great quality and fit!

I have been wearing western style boots since I was 14 years old I’m 74 now. Justin boots Moonwalker hand made boots Nocuna boots. First thing for long life on any shoe or boot make sure feet are sized right. I was walking out of my boots in year because they weren’t sized right. My first pair of sized right boots were Nocuna boots this was because he took the time to size my feet they lasted 4 years resoled 2 times (leather soles don’t wear as long) I now wear Ariat boots my first pair Ariat Roper style in Jan 2015 I replaced them with same boot in May 2019. Then in April 2022 I purchased Ariat men’s Groundbreaker Wide Square Toe Work Boots I have to say these are the most comfortable boots for all day wear I have ever worn bar none. I should say when I had the Moonwalker Boots made on a 8.5 EE boot jack so I only ordered boots in that size. They aren’t hardly any shoe repair shops now my Moonwalker Boots were resoled 4 time made right with perfect fit quality leather something you hardly see anymore.

I read all the reviews and as usual, eliminated 50% of the bad reviews. I want to like these, I ordered the usual size I wear; 12W(EE). For me, I tried them with my normal "thick" socks, NO way I could get them on! Tried them with thin dress socks.... and with all my might, I got them on. Once on, they felt a bit small in the instep, arch/ top of foot- see my second picture. I have a high instep and they felt OK once on, but a bit on the tight side- as do some lace-up shoes do when new. I tried them both around the house for an hour or so and felt as if they were going to stretch out. At first glance, I thought as many other reviewers complained about that they would be too big. For me, with boots, I want them to stretch to fit due to the fact that there are no laces to tighten. But I want them to be easier to put on than they were. I will try my old trusty wooden shoe stretchers for a day or so to see if they loosen up in 'my' problem spot. Other fitment areas: toebox is adequate, heel slide is ok to large. All in all, I have only purchased a few pairs of shoes online and am learning that it is often a crap shoot! Amazon was late on delivering these to me, 9 days is not what I am conditioned for here!

The durability style and quality the airat always has the fit is a little snug but as with any quality leather boot, they’re gonna be slightly stiff and a little bit tight to start with get some mink oil and a boot stretcher and work with it. It will take some time to break in, but my other pair has lasted three years. You will put them on and think I know these are entirely too small but you can’t get these broken in. You get good traction on a slip resistant boot, and the leather is nice and thick where it matters and they’re stylish. Lol

At first the boot was nice, a little clunky out of the box but pretty decent for the most part. They were comfortable for working on my feet all day….BUT THEN, in 6 months time, not one but BOTH soles came off of boots 2 days apart from one another. For what I paid for these I think its absurd how quickly they fell apart. So sadly they have been just a tasteless decor piece on my shoe rack….really more of a reminder when you need to go boot shopping, of why to steer clear of Ariat boots. If they had zero stars i would have def. chosen that option…so lucky them…1 ⭐️!!!

These boots have great traction, hold up well, and are extremely comfortable. I have several different brands of boots that I can wear, but I typically find myself going for these most of the time. The quality is very good and I’ve had no problems with the leather or the construction of the boot. I put them through quite a bit so they look a little ragged and they don’t shine up well but that’s what you use boots like this for.
