what a fantastic book, the pop up horses are amazing, bought for three year old grandson although perfect supervision may be required to keep the book in good order

This book is amazing but the cover is totally banal and doesn't describe the intricacies and magic of what's inside the book.

This book is simply stunning! 'Ten Horse Farm' is a beautiful and detailed pop-up book which is roughly A5 in its height and width but it's quite a fat book (although light in weight) due to all the pop-up mechanisms inside. The book is filled with colourful matt card pages, with every double page featuring stunning pop-up scenery and horses.As the name suggests this book is about a farm with horses and each page introduces us to different horses (and other animals) doing things like eating or bucking around the farm. Each double page features just one word and a beautiful pop-up of that word, for example the first page has the word 'Racing' and the pop-up image is of a brown horse running with a dog by its side.You really have to see pictures of this book to get a sense of just how amazing these pop-ups really are. I'm already a fan of Sabuda's work after seeing his book 'The Christmas Story: An Exquisite Pop-up Retelling' and this book is just as good. The different ways in which the horses and scenery on each page jumps out at you is unique and so detailed and beautiful for a pop-up book. I'm amazed at how an entire scene just pops out of each page and every image is different. I also like how each page and all the things that pop-up are colourful and in some of the double pages it's worth turning the book around so you can see a scene from behind as there are other things hidden in the pictures like all the different animals on the last page.Although children will, I'm sure, enjoy this book adults can too and it's definitely a book I'd recommend. And although I do recommend it even for younger children, it isn't a book that can be left alone with them and should rather be looked at together. Although the pop-ups are well glued down, there are intricate mechanisms and more boisterous kids might break these. There are only ten pages of pop-ups but they are all worth looking at and if you're like me you'll love this book and be looking at this book again and again!-Thanks to Walker Books for a free copy for a review.*One photo shows a sideway view of the intricate pop-up mechanism.

What a great book - huge, colourful, wonderfully illustrated. Super fun although a bit fragile if smaller children are playing with it. If you do not mind it being ripped apart within a day - it would make a great present!Five stars!Walker Books provided a copy to me for review purposes.

A stunning, interactive, beautifully crafted pop up book for young children to enjoy. This book is the nicest pop up book I've seen. This book was provided to me free of charge to review.

Was disappointed and returned the item , there weren’t enough words or a story for a child

This is an intricate pop up book with each page being a work of art and very complex. It is amazing how the artist/engineer manages to make the picture pop up so far and get so much into pages which lie quite flat. There are a lot of pages in this book too with one devoted to each horse doing something different in a slightly different landscape and then the final pages being a scene which includes every horse and gives you loads to look at and comment on.Although the book is made from firm cardboard and doesn't seem overly fragile I am terrified to let a child touch this for fear of dislodging or breaking something but there is a lot to talk about on each picture even though the text is very restricted - this is all about the illustrations. The colours are bright but not garish and the scenes are full of interest. A solitary reservation is that some of it did look a bit American rather than British. It is a work of art and full of interest.I received a free copy of this book from the publishers.

Sabuda è sempre una garanzia, è delizioso

I love all of his books but being a horse person this is one of my all time favorites.

Die Pop-ups sind wirklich toll, nur leider ist die Verarbeitung nicht gut (sicher auch aufgrund der kniffligen Techniken die Pop-Ups leider mit sich bringen.Ich habe das Buch 2 x bestellt, leider beide Male auf der gleichen Seite (trinkendes Pferd) Fehler. (einmal war bei Lieferung bereits ein Papiersteg am Pferd gerissen und bei dem Ersatzexemplar war der Pferdekopf so geknickt dass sich in beiden Fällen das Pop-up nicht richtig entfalten konnte.) Sehr schade, aber vllt haben andere mehr Glück mit ihren Exemplaren!

Adorato dalla nostra bimba di 3 -> 4 -> 5 anni, sembra che non se ne stancherà per un bel po'... / Wonderful for a girl aged 3, 4, 5 and counting - looks like she won't get bored soon by that.
