Urine Deflector Pee Splash Guard (CISPGUARD1)

This is the second time I’ve ordered this product. It’s a great design. Very easy to attach and does what it’s meant to do. We have four kids and it helps us to keep the bathrooms clean. Don’t hesitate to give these a try.

Toilet seat isnt perfectly flat so it won't adhere. Works only on flat wooden seat. Good idea, needs some flexibility.

Great unit works well, the only bad thing is the adhesion, it fell off after two days, so I went to my trusty caulk gun with silicone. Use the silicone jcrew it back in place and has been in place for a few weeks and I expect it to stay in place. So buyers be aware use silicone first do not trust the adhesion that comes with the unit.

The unit did not fit on my oval shaped toilet and toilet seat properly as it was designed for round standard i think. The design which i must admit is very ingenious and easy to use and clean was too good to toss so after a little thought I happened to have two N56 Neodymium 3/8 od x 1/8 Id x 1/8 thick magnets see picture two and placed them where the magnets are on the deflector and after a little adjustment to their location on the glued metal strip it worked great. I will be changing these to 1/2 OD x 1/8 Id x 1/4 thick and use three with one in the center as i am worried about it coming loose if grand kids slam the seat down. Not sure if needed but its a cheap security patch.

The concept of the PGuard is excellent and, I am sure, needed by many. It is a simple concept and it does the job. I found that there are some design flaws that could be addressed to make it more user friendly in terms of its installation. The video showing the installation did not represent my standard issue toilet seat because of 2 factors. The design expects that the magnet on the adhesive rigid steel strip is being affixed to a flat surface. The bottom of my seat is not flat but instead curved so about half of the steel strip never comes in contact with the bottom of the front seat area, As a result there is an opening/gap that allows the urine to escacpe anstead of being deflected into the toilet. There may be a solution because there are flexible magnetic stips that could contour to the seat bottom. The other problem is that the plastic deflector component is rigid and will not self conform to the strip permanently affixed to the toilet. The deflector needs to be equally flexible also and still have the magnets molded into the deflector so that magnet would adhere to the magnet permanently affixed to the toilet I had to use silicone calk to fill in the gaps that was caused by the 2 rigid complements. Again the concept is sound but it is not designed to work on some seats such as the one I have that I bought at the nations largest hardware store.

This will only work for seats that are flat underneath. The two seats that I have problems with are both concave (hollowed out) underneath. In order for the guard to adhere to a flat surface, it is too far forward and the seat will not sit down all the way. Would work great on a flat bottom seat.

Good idea until it falls off. It is effective in deflecting urine but a few days after I cleaned it the first time it came loose. Not worth the money or effort.
