Not A “Snakeoil”
CamGuard began with an oil additive for aviation engines. The FAA is particular about what goes into airplane engines and so is the legal community when it comes to liability. If you have an issue with your engine while flying, you cannot pull over to the side of the road and call the tow service. When CamGuard became available almost 20 years ago for airplane engines, a number of independent agencies tested it. All positive results and the FAA didn’t ban it’s use. I have been using the aviation engine version in my airplane for at least 15 years with good annual compressions and oil analysis. The reason I use this HD Diesel version in my Cummins is because of the reduction in oil additives over the years that help reduce flat tappet cam wear. CamGuard not only has anti-wear additives, it also has anti-corrosion properties and a seal conditioner. It flat works and the data is there to support it.

I’m adding this to all my seldom used rigs.
Highly regarded in aviation engines to prolong tackiness of oil, leaving internals protected from corrosion for longer periods of inactivity. So, assuming it works, it seems like a great idea for a boat or tractor, too.

Added Camguard to my HMMWV M998 oil
I use Camguard in all my vehicles, now using the Heavy Duty version in the 6.5 liter engine in my M998.
