I bought this printer to replace my 5-year-old Dell printer and I'm sorry to say it's not a patch on my old machine. Although this printer was more than half the price of my old one, it shows in the quality of the printout. It's good for business use if you intend to use it for invoices etc but considering it's a brand new printer, I thought the quality of the printouts might be a bit better than they are for a laser printer but considering how cheap this is, I can't really complain about it. If all you need is a cheap to buy and cheap to run printer for invoices or letters, then this is the one for you but if you need your printouts to have a bit more quality about them (especially if your printing photos as this printer really doesn't do well with them) then go for something more expensive if you can afford it.

Very easy setup for Windows 10, just following the ‘ quick start guide’. No difficulty at all. I’ve setup both USB and WIRELESS, all straight forward. Print is good quality for paper either thin or thick. 4extra toner cartridges is a good deal. The output tray could be better but it’s ok.

I’ve had this printer for around 5 years. Has worked well during all this time even when I hadn’t used it for 9 months. 2 downsides; 1) very expensive cartridges. 2) WiFi setup is extremely complicated.

I planned to phase out my Windows PCs and only use Chromebooks in future. I'm very disappointed that I've been stupid enough to invest in a printer for three years that does not allow printing from Chromebooks. As a Windows printer, it works really well (so far). Sadly, Brother has no plans to add this printer to their list of Chromebook-compatible printers.

I "ummed and aaahed" for a while before deciding on this printer and to be honest, I can't fault it. I couldn't understand the slightly mixed reviews! In my opinion it was simple to set up - pretty much plug and play, print quality is fine, scan works well and I'd recommend it to anyone!

after a year of moderate home usage and still using the ink cartridge that came with it ,i have no complaints about this printer, it is a good buy ,good value for money and no technical problems to report.

This printer is advertised that it is suitable for home and office use. Do not fall into the trap, like I did, that this printer prints on Letterhead paper - IT DOES NOT. I have been left with a printer that is not fit for purpose. I needed a printer for office use/small business using letterhead and this printer struggles to take the paper and with a helping hand, leaves ‘ghosting marks’ all over the page. I contacted the seller who was not forthcoming nor understanding. Instead I was told that I should not have assumed that letterhead would work. It’s a PRINTER. I would avoid buying from this seller.

There isn't a PC connected USB Cabel in the Box.I cound't print a document .
