ZINUS SmartBase Bed Frame, Queen, Industrial Brown

Really happy with this purchase. I was using a traditional bed frame/box spring, but moved into a new apartment where a curve in the narrow staircase made it impossible for the wood box spring to fit. This split bed frame was a life saver. Comes in a box that will fit up ANY stairway or through any door way. The two pieces fold down into easy storage, and make for the same easy exit they did for entry.Putting these up was a breeze. Take it out of the box, unfold, secure support legs with included wing nuts, easily done by hand (no tools required). Then do the same to secure the two pieces together in the middle. Probably took 15 minutes, and I'm a 5'4 female. The box they both come in is heavy, but individually, they're lightweight.But, the best part is that it feels very sturdy and solid, and no noise! I had squeaking issues previously. And as one reviewer said, rounded edges. There were a couple of times I ran into the sharp, square edges of my old bed frame.

Zinus makes another great product! Because I'm renting and getting ready to buy a house, I was looking for an inexpensive frame for my queen mattress. After reading the reviews for their other products, I decided on this one because of the color (almost none of these platform beds come in white). It came fully assembled except for two bolts that attach the two frames together (with wing nuts). It took me longer to get it out of the box than it did to set it up and requires no tools. It feels very secure, like I could jump up and down on it without any issues, and makes ZERO noise. Not a peep! You can put standard 13" storage bins under it and there is a lot of space to make use of. Overall, I'm SUPER happy with it, as local vendors were selling similar models for at least twice what I paid for it here and were out of stock. The box isn't too big and I was able to transport it in a small car.

I am very satisfied. The frame is very sturdy. It was easy to put together by just unfolding and attaching a few nuts and bolts. No squeaking when I roll over at night. I am using it with Zinus headboard and bracket set. Those do not pair well with the frame. The screws work themselves out and the headboard gets loose & floopy. The bed is better without the added head board.I slept on the bed for a month now & the mattress has not slipped away at all like it did on my previous folding platform frame.I purchased my smart base platform in Navy blue because it cost less than black. The base can not be seen at all when the bed is made so the color makes no difference. Im glad I saved by buying the cheapest color on sale.

I was on the fence for a long time about ordering this frame but I am so glad that I did. It was very easy to assemble (and I can't assemble anything) lol. The under bed storage is great and is just what I needed to get my room in order. I was on the verge of purchasing a new mattress however after receiving the smartbase I think I can hold on to my old mattress a little longer. My old bed slats just didn't have enough support for my old memory foam mattress now it feels much firmer than before. I am extremely happy. I also purchased the brackets to attach my headboard which was very easy. The only complaint is that the brackets could be a little more discreet, they are huge.

Our box spring was noisy and after setting this up and ditching the box spring, there's blissful silence. It was easy for my husband and I, both baby boomers, to set up and it's very strong and sturdy.Two negatives:It looks like a cot. The company has wooden platforms that look nicer but they had reviews that mentioned that the slats break, so I went with this.They have a black frame but that wouldn't have looked good in my light-colored bedroom so I went with this one. It was $25 more expensive than the black one (which might have been on sale that day) -- that made me pretty angry since the only difference is the color

I’ve had this mattress foundation since January 2019 and I love everything about it. It makes ZERO noise and feels very sturdy (for reference, I weigh 204 lbs). The space below is perfect for storage, I can even fit a large suitcase underneath. I have a box spring and mattress on top, the bed is pretty high up but I’m tall so I have no issue with that.The first foundation I received had a minor defection. It had a bend in the metal. I reached out to the company and they sent me a new one. I returned the defective one with free shipping. The second one I received was in perfect condition and still is to this day. I definitely recommend it.

Was perfect for our new gel memory foam mattress. Has a little wriggle, but hardly noticeable. Was easy to set up and place mattress upon. I should have purchased the 16" height though as my husband's only complaint about the new setup is that it's much lower than our old mattress, boxspring and antique wrought iron bed sat. Actually, I love it, because it gives more room,but yet is much lower so that my short stature of a grandmother's physique doesn't have to sling a leg up onto the bed, then push off with other leg to launch myself into bed. When exiting bed, my feet would never touch the floor and I felt as though I was jumping off a cliff. haha. Hubby will just have to deal.

I looooove this. I impatiently waited a long while for this (shipping was delayed by a week), but there was delivery issues. Assembly was easy enough. The main reason I bought this was because originally I had my box spring and mattress on the floor and I wanted under bed storage without buying a bulky, pricey bed frame because I really don’t have room for one. This is perfect. I can fit a lot of stuff under now! Also my bed feels soooo much more comfortable and the floating effect makes it feel and look more luxurious! Super simple and basic but works perfect with carpet floors. Feels sturdy too. Easily my fave purchase.
