What size are the gloves? Not talking about weight but are they small, medium, large/XL etc..

Have to correct myself. The gloves I got were the 16 oz. NOT the 14 oz. They fit just right. I usually wear medium size gloves. The circumference of my closed fist is 10 1/4" across the knuckles. Hope this helps.

Are they good for sparring? Do they have adequate padding

They are made for sparring. That's why it has an elastic safety cuff around the wrist strap - so you don't catch your sparring partner's face with the Velcro. As for the adequacy of the padding, that depends on numerous factors. The heavier the glove, the more padding there will be, and the safer it will be for your sparring partner.

5. How annoying is the elastic bracelet? Can you pull it easily by yourself?

I recommend you don’t buy these gloves if you don’t have someone to help put them on, they’re very good gloves, but almost impossible to put them on by yourself.

would the 14 oz gloves work for a woman with medium sized hands?

Gloves are basically the same size. They will form your hand. Just dont let anyone else wear them. They are outstanding gloves and i have been sparring with them for years.
