Bought this as a gift for a grandmother to be and she absolutely loved it! Very beautifully written book, that will be a sweet story time favorite for grandma and baby!

The sentiment of the story is perfect for grandma on Mother's Day, after her first grandbaby is born. However, there are a couple of specifics about the story that you should be aware of before purchasing:1. The grandma who tells the story is the paternal grandmother of the baby. (Baby's dad's mom) I'm the baby's mother, so it wasn't perfect in that respect.2. The grandma in the book looks pretty old. My mom (baby's grandma) doesn't have white hair yet, and she doesn't wear cardigans over buttoned-up blouses, either. I don't think she loved thinking of herself as that image of the older grandma.3. The grandma in the story is still married to grandpa. This isn't always the case, so the grandma of your baby may not appreciate references to her husband in the story.Anyway, although the story and the sentiment are lovely, it's not as generic as it could be. I almost wish the author would write another version or two of the story.. it would be a good demographics experiment, to see which version sells the best.

A great book for a kid for his grandmother

I read this book to my children, and bought this for my daughter for my Granddaughter.

Bought two of these for my grandchildren. So lovely I couldn't read without crying. Lovely to save as a heirloom from grandma.

All up it's a lovely book... I only gave it 4*'s as I really don't like the word 'mommy' in books... as for us down under it's mummy!

Bought this book because I loved the title !!! It s for my soon to be born son of my nephew and his wife .. This and other children s Christian books were sent directly to their house so my nephew thought he would read : "I loved you before your were born ....." to his wife and I .We three adults cried over and over .. It is a GREAT story ..found in books for 0 to 2 ages
