Transformers (2007) - A Michael Bay Film (4K UHD) (1-Disc)

Story is simple. But the way Michael Bay has shown the transformers and the history between them and humans, the fight sequences, all are insanely detailed. Even if I only watched it on my laptop, I can no doubt bet the experience in theatre would have been electrifying.

Movie was decent but the blu ray itself was very high quality.It can be presented in HDR10+ or Dolby Vision with lossless Dolby Atmos sound.It's a good disc to show the power of 4K UHD Discs.

I purchased this for my grandson for his great behavior at school. We were facing challenges with him not wanting to obey classroom rules. So I know that they enjoyed video games and movies so I started a reward system with him. He had to earn points for good reports from his teacher and this is working for us. No more phone calls or bad progress reports. Plus I enjoyed the movie and games as well.

Better audio & visuals over the bluray or DVD disc's. Not saying that the other versions are bad. Just to buy the disc version that will be best optimized on your setup. As of this review, the advertised expired digital code still works.

My movie got her earlier than the expected due date, so I have been thrilled with that kind of service. I tried using the 4k Ultra HD DVD, but my player would not operate it even though it is multi region and I have a 4k TV. I am still trying to figure that out. Other than that the blue-ray DVD worked beautifully, but I would love to see the difference if I can get the 4k UD to work. Thank you for making my day with this movie!! The first Michael Bay transformers film is the only one I can bare to sit through and honestly I sort of like it.Sure it has a crappy script and most of the issues in the sequels are in this. Mainly the Michael Bay tropes like the nasty "humor" & dehumanizing sexual shots of women. However it's much more toned down and restrained in comparison to the sequels. All the actors minus Megan Fox all do a solid job. Shia Lebouf and the comic relief are bearable. The robots themselves are properly built up and represented with respect for the most part. Optimus Prime isn't a horrible murdering, arrogant, authoritarian psychopath. It actually feels sort of like a Spielberg film in areas. It has that sense of wonder and mystique at times that is lost in the follow ups. The score by Steve Jablonsky is wonderful and the visual effects and sound design is always top notch in this series. It's a solid action film at best.For the sake of Transformers fans, I hope MichaelBay departs and we get a proper film with these characters because I have grown a sort of respect for it after watching the more recent cartoons, TF Animated and TF Prime.Oh and the steelbook is fine. Wish the cover was a bit more creative but it'll do.
