Red Dragon Inn: Allies - Brother Bastian (Red Dragon Inn Expansion) Board Game

Something about this expansion for Red Dragon Inn (RDI) that I personally really enjoy is the randomness & the choices it allows. All of this will probably make more sense for those who have played the game before as this is a solo expansion character for any of the base RDI box set games. The random aspect that is enjoyable for this one; This character has a blessing deck that you shuffle. Draw some of them at random to use in that game & then you discard the rest for the duration of the game. The choices; The character collects blessing tolkens to cast the random blessing spells you drew for that game. Often times to help collect more of these tolkens more quickly, you are granted an option on many of his cards to Do A or B, where B may have a lesser effect, but allows you to gain blessing tolkens more expeditiously. This one fully admits, some players may prefer more straighforward characters that have more of a direct style of play. Regardless of personal play style, this character adds a wonderful element to any RDI collection and the art is pleasant to look at, as we have come to enjoy from the Slugfest team.

Another Cleric type character with a bit of a different domain flavor from the one in the base game.

I love this character set. The Cleric (Brother Bastian) comes with a separate deck (Prayer cards) which act as heals. Best of all, as long as you can pay of the prayers, they recycle throughout the game. The box and cards came in excellent condition. I look forward to playing this set for future games.

I have not played this card game but I gave it to a family member that loves this kind of games. He likes to play and teach others how to play them and trust me if he likes it it has to be very good.

He has great abilities with his spells, but has more of a learning curve that the more basic characters.

Great fun new character. He has simpler mechanics than a lot of other complex characters and is a great amount of fun to play
