HVACSTAR 36 Volt 400A Main Contactor Solenoid MZJ-400A compatible with Heavy Duty Golf Cart

Good quality and restored my cart to perfect working order.

I didn't know it has to work in a certain position, so I had to make a bracket to hold it upright, but it works fine.

This a GREAT replacement for any 48v golf cart. I use these in Club Cars, EZGO, and Yamahas. The main lugs are much larger on these than standard golf carts and you will need to change the terminals out to 3/8 copper terminals. Not a big deal if you have a hand held hydraulic crimper but not so good if you don’t. You can try to drill them out but you will likely just tear up your terminals on your cart but this is a must if you are upgrading your controller to anything above stock.

Worked as expected!

Worked only two weeks. Spend the extra money and buy a better quality solenoid. After two weeks the controller shut the cart down with a "solenoid coil current" error. Tested and found the coil only had 0.2 ohms resistance, a dead short.

Works well so far in our EZGO RXV golf cart with upgraded Navitas Controller. Onlybdown size is it is much bigger than the stock one so I had to make a new mount for it.

I’ve been on this quest to find an heavy duty solenoid to replace the “el cheapo” one I had in my electric golf cart. This is it! Works like a charm, easily serviceable if needed. This thing would survive even a zombie apocalypse
